Tuesday night my men's league team, the Chicago Outfit, beat Hot Mix 5-1 to capture its 6th straight Virginia Cup in the Skokie Over 30 A league. Its actually our 7th straight title overall, but one of those was in a different league.

Here's video of the trophy presentation, I'm the captain accepting the trophy.

There were actually about 12 people in the stands, but 9 of them supported the other team so they all ran out of there as soon as the game ended. Tough to get the fans to show up for the 10:30pm start time on a tuesday night.

The Cup is named after Virginia, the nice old lady who ran the men's league for over a decade before declining health forced her to stop last year.

You mean the team that got relegated to the B division playoffs, the same team we beat 14-3 on March 2. Yeah, don't think that is gonna happen.


I played 2 games for those guys at the start of the year and I think I'm still one of their top 5 leading scorers.

never had a game start past 10:35. During the spring season the latest game is 9:30.
