Broadcaster Steve Stone, who now works for the Chicago White Sox and covered Greg Maddux during his two stints with the Chicago Cubs, said that Maddux was a tireless worker who was always happy to impart his knowledge to any teammate willing to listen. "Having Greg on the roster was like having an extra coach. Was he a great pitcher? Yes. But he was an even better person."

The cause of death is not known at this time. Wilmette police do not suspect foul play.

I thought it was hysterical. I could tell that a lot of thought and creativity was put into the first April Fool's joke that I came across in 2011.
What threw me the most was that it was presented on a different date. That was the best part.
