It appears Dempster is going for a 2010 Big Z type inning.

Well, at least there's plenty of time to hit Pittsburgh's crappy pitching.

Not watching, how much is it raining? Will they get the game in?

The radio call is less than scintillating. Is this Judd Sirott? He sounds different. Too monotone.

Moreland not saying much.

I miss Ronnie.

Lots of bad Pirate relievers are yet to be seen. Cubs will win this game.

Sox are up 4-0 and there is room on this bandwagon.

Wasted lead off hit. Still time to feast on bad Pirates pitching.

So, first game first criticism of Quade.

I had kind of hoped not to play the Ryan Cumdumpster card for at least two months. Great.

Might as well put the shark into this game. It's better he give up 4 runs when they are losing vs when they have a lead.

Dempster was Dempster. Walk a ton of guys and then give up the bomb. Byrd's bat was so slow in the 9th. Guy gave him to fastballs down the middle and swung when the ball was past him. Dewitt was awful pinch hitting, also swinging when the ball was going back to the pitcher. At least Castro can rake.

i'm gonna say this now, and i hope more cubs fans recognize this as the year progresses.

WE DO NOT HAVE A LINEUP BUILT TO FEAST ON ANYONE'S BAD PITCHING.

the cubs ARE the pirates this year.

The Cubs are not the Pirates by any means. I sat behind Pirate fans that would agree with me. I asked who their setup guy was right now. He said Hanrahan. I told him that's their closer. He said that's the setup guy. I asked who the closer would be. He said they don't have one.

Dempster completely lost his confidence on the second time through the lineup. I don't know if they figured something out, i.e. a tell. But he was flustered as hell. I don't know if it showed up on the broadcast, but he started launching pitches, and the pitches over the plate were launched. Neil Walker, you little bastard.

I like a few post in this thread pointing out dempster walking the ballpark, and spitting the bit in 2008 playoff game (again walks & home runs)

It's only one game ya, ya, ya....but dempster is building a consistemt MO and it sucks.

I'm bummed.
