Yeah, he's played Augusta 4 times. I have to buy a video game to do that.

 Left him on the bench all weekend and now he is going to win. I need a lobotomy.

Should be a good tournament this weekend with the last really strong field until
The Masters. I still remember when Robert Gamez holed out from about 176 yds
from the fairway to win and steal the title from Greg Norman.

Scores all over the board this afternoon. Couple of guys tearing it up but I
am seeing some pretty big names going the wrong way including McDowell.

I have Mahan this week and amazingly he had a good opening round (-3). I fully expect him to shoot a 78 tomorrow.

Winds down today so scoring improving for most. Tiger is -3 thru front nine.
Levin continues his assault on the course and is also -3 for the day, leading
by 5 now.

Why is it that every time I have someone with a good Thursday on the bench and I switch him in, then he sucks on Friday and the guy I switched out is awesome, and then when I don't switch, the guy continues to suck on Friday and the other guy continues to be awesome? I think I must have a great deal of control over the PGA players success and I just haven't fully realized the impact that my lineup has on their play.

That is just the way it is. Unless my guy shoots a 75 or higher I leave them in the first two
days no matter what. Usually a guy who craps his pants Thursday comes back and plays
well on Friday. It is frustrating as hell when it doesn't work out though.

Back from Trojan Horse hell. Who would have thought looking at golf porn would have been so dangerous. Congrats to Drumming Don for showing us the ropes again. I think it's time to start a blog buddy, maybe Ugie can have him write the fantasy portion of his Chicago Duffer blog? (That's not a shot at your picks Ugie but Don's track record speaks for itself)

My once a year commercial starts now - Early season golf is upon us and a friendly reminder to you if you need any help finding a tee time let me know. I'd be very happy to help you out and knock a few dollars off for your group for booking through GolfNow.com. Commercial now over - dbury@golfchannel.com

Yeah, Don's stats speak for themself. Pretty incredible. I hope we see some challengers
during the next session here. By the way, has anyone been out to even hit a golf ball yet?
I think I am finally going to get around to it Saturday when it heats up to the mid-40s. This
spring has been a disappointment, I'd been out playing 5 times already by this time last year.

Anthony Kim went apeshit this morning and shot a -8 to vault him near the top
of the leaderboard. Baddeley is at -7 with one hole to play for the day. Jimmy
Walker who shot a -9 yesterday is at +1 for the day heading to #14.

Tiger will likely see his world ranking drop from 5th to 7th as the Masters approaches. Paul Casey will pass him no matter what, and Phil needs a top 36 finish this week to pass El Tigre.

Dogger has his game right where he wants it going to Augusta.

Phil moved up to #3 and Tiger dropped to #7.

When all is said and done, looks like it very well might be just Ian Poluter and Tiger in the rankings.

Not how either man expected it to be, however.

It's Masters Week chumps.

Some great course photos being sent out via Twitter from Stewart Appleby yesterday. Looking forward to tourney but father-in-law (non-golfer) coming into town Friday afternoon and leaving Saturday at some point. Saturday is usually a great day for this tournament so hopefully can get rid of him early.

Good luck on your fantasy picks.

Well, it's time for that Masters hangover. The next month of tournaments are just kind of ho-hum.
This week we have the Valero Texas Open. One month until The Players.

Just thought I would post this in here for those interested. Pretty cool gesture by Clark this week.

One of the traditions launched in 2007 when The Players Championship moved to May and a new TPC Sawgrass clubhouse was built was to fly the flag of the tournament winner's country over the Circle of Champions for a year, beginning the moment he won on Sunday evening. Defending champion Tim Clark of South Africa, who won last year in stunning fashion with a weekend sprint to the top, has asked the PGA Tour to take his nation's flag down a week before usual. On Clark's direction, his agent called Players Championship media official Laura Hill Saturday evening and asked that the Spanish fly be flown atop the Circle of Champions this week instead of the South African flag, a gesture he is making to Seve Ballesteros, the Hall of Fame player from Spain who died early Saturday of a brain tumor.

Players Championship has started. Low scoring all over the place. One surprise is
Mr. Tiger Woods who is +5 after 5 holes and currently in last place. Ouch.

Good ol' Tiger. Looks like Jack's record is safe.

If Sean Foley survives this tournament as his swing coach, I'll be shocked.

I picked McIlroy this week and the fuckin pussy skipped the tournament. The '5th major' and richest purse on tour and the little fuckin girl isn't playing because he 'doesn't like the course'. What a fuckin joke. I'm done with this burrito. Fuck him.

Where's his competetive fire?? All the top golfers in the world are playing and this pussy would rather sit at home rather than risk shooting a bad round of golf?? If he's this soft he will NEVER win a major and I feel stupid for ever thinking he could.

Dude.

He and Westwood have been talking about skipping this event since last year. Pay attention.

Also, Tiger Woods just withdrew from the tournament.

Ugie beat me to it but here is the scenario....

Woods played his first five holes Thursday in 5 over – including a triple bogey at the fourth hole — and was visibly limping as he shot 42 on the front nine. He is nursing a sprained medial collateral ligament in his left knee and a strained left Achilles tendon.

Woods suffered the injury while hitting an awkward shot during the third round of the Masters and has not played since that tie for fourth. He was wearing a boot to stabilize and protect the leg at his Tiger Jam event last month.

So he's been talking about being a pussy for over a year. Oh well, that makes it better.

At least Westwood has a scheduling conflict. McIlroy is just a little girl.

Great tournament. It's nice to see a great golfer and better guy like KJ finally win a big tournament.

I hope Rory had a nice weekend knitting himself a new pair of mittens.
