Not a fan. He had way too much dead air for a nationally syndicated host when I used to listen to him on AM1000. The dramatic pauses were just silly after a while. Also not a friend to those who take down the "hippie lettuce", from what i recall.

Maybe he's better off the Disney radio network.

Its funny because he explains that your not gonna get it right away as a new listener

When he was on middays ESPN I thought it was the worst show Id ever heard.

Once I started listening when they switched to 11, I was hooked.

Its funnier than anything in the world

I actually dont care for his interviews when he's being Serious Rome.

Other than that its awessome

He's like a sports hipster....nickname for everything

Not "In Street Clothes" but in "Streets"

Because they failed the pre draft drug tests

I didn't know there were drug tests before the draft. I think you may be referring to an outgoing/end of season drug test in college. If the players havent signed a contract, or anything like that, how could they legally make you take a piss test? Rack me...

...And yes I am. Getting pretty dry though.

Yeah I'm happy with morning radio, but I'd like to have a bullet in the gun if B&B have a bad show... Or if the sox are playing...

Then how can they possibly set their health insurance rates accurately?

From the stories I've even heard about Mjeff, I'm gonna have to concur.

Well maybe im screwing up the chronology but the only time Ive heard him talk negatively about the lettuce was two draft prospects who failed tests. I think they test at the combine.

Anyways, if you got a problem with Jim Rome, you got a problem with yourself

there are like 14 states in this country where you can buy marijuana legally and smoke it legally with a med card..that takes about 20 minutes to get and costs 50-200 $ depending what state you live in. and canada is more lax than california where the raptors play. i am almost positive nba drug testing excludes marijuana. why would that clown rome care who smokes

I know a guy who interacts with Thibs weekly and he says Thibs reported that 90% or higher of NBA players AND Coaches smoke (including himself)

They do test for Marijuana, but they give the players a heads up and its once a year.

Idk. he's always got something condescending or cheeky to say about it. Heard him call out Phil Jackson on TV before. That's about the time my Rome experience ended.

He's prolly better than what's on the Score from 9-1 anyway.
