hush...ive thought it was odd all spring...like out of left field, especially after being labeled a future setup man all of last year

yet Marshall, a legitimate starter, never got a chance, was bullied into a corner for 3 straight years, and into the bullpen because he was always the odd man out in spring training

another example of a young player being bullied into something he is not used to and that makes no sense

Yeah if the problem with sending SHARKzilla down is the chance of another team claiming him on waivers ....wouldn't be the best possible scenario for the Cubs? I would rather have Rocket Ishmael pitching for the Cubs this year.

The worst part about the samardzija experience today was that holy fucking shit it took forever. It's not just that he came in after the injury to cashner, it's that he summoned the essence of jose valverde and took FOREVER to make each pitch. even mark grace pointed out how long the inning took when he sang the seventh inning stretch.

i had followed the game on yahoo a little bit and i saw that it was 4-1, but that they were going to bring the shark in. i said, "well there goes the lead." next thing i saw, cubs won 6-5. i guess the shark couldn't put them over the top, but lord he is bad.

Trying to get any production out of Soriano while you can while you are facing terrible pitching staffs. Once you get going against a team with legit pitching Soriano becomes effectively useless.
