Not sure what the question was, but in order to play in the Meat and Roz fantasy league, Elmhurst Steve had to answer 2 of 3 Cub questions right.

1 was who played 3rd during the Kid K game. I knew it, but that was still very tough. Orie

Name 3 of the 5 top all time Cubs in Doubles and I was surprised he blew it, as he missed the king of doubles. Mark Grace! Who I think led MLB in Doubles in the 90's?

I think you're confused, BigFan! Elmhurst Steve wasn't on the seminal baseball show Hit & Run today, instead it was Steve in Elmhurst that failed the quiz questions!

I'm sure he will be named the co manager of Meat's team. Someone needs to set the lineup when Meat is too busy half the week to do it himself.

I'm sorry I missed this. A couple weeks ago Spiegs read off five free agents and the qualifiers had to name which teams they signed with. Three correct responses got them in the league. I have no idea how many they read but only 1-2 people were able to qualify. Like I said in another thread it wasn't quite sports jeopardy funny bad but it was close.

Actually, the Orie question is correct, But you got the other questions wrong. I correctly named Billy Williams, Ron Santo and Ernie Banks as 3 of the top 5 cubs in total games played(had nothing to do with doubles). The other "problem question" was naming the outfielder in the 1980's that pitched in 3 games without surrendering an earned run. It was Doug Dascenzo. It seemed to me a stupid question. If you want to qualify guys for a fantasy league, questions pertaining to LEADERS in things like steals, HR, RBI, Wins, Strikeouts might make more sense than an obscure question about a back-up outfielder. Had he asked which Brewer led his team in RBI last season, I would have known it was former Cub Casey Maghee, not Fielder or Braun. I think that would have been a tough, but more suitable question. But I accept the outcome and will hope to get the chance to qualify next season.

Translation: I didn't know the answer so it was a dumb question. I knew the answers to the good questions, but the last one was bad so that's why I didn't get in.

We don't need this to turn into another thread about Panther...this is about bashing The Brand, which is a lot more fun.

Does Elmhurst Steve also win 40-50% of the fantasy baseball leagues he joins?

Yes, but he's also 40-50% of the teams too.
And he's a guy who likes being an "owner" if you know what I mean.

I didn't read the post. I just took a guess about the subject matter knowing his posting history. So, I could be wrong on that or right on the mark. I really don't know, really don't care, and I won't be clicking to read his post anyway.

Didn't you hear? He's expanded his business all the way to northwest Indiana! After reaching full market saturation in Illinois he was forced to travel over an hour to paint a house.

Must be pretty quick to paint mobile homes.
