I was always a big fan of the acoustic version of Heavy that Collective Soul did for their Live Spaces special...

The acoustic version of Push by Matchbox Twenty used as the B-side for the Bent single was pretty good too...

However, my absolute favorite is, without a doubt, the acoustic version of Stay (Faraway, So Close!) U2 did on the Elevation DVD...that shit kills me every time...

Uncle John's Band.

Anything Dead of course is great but I do so love this song and it can be done in mostly open (normal if you will) chords. None of that crazy stuff Doug pulls off. I think he is a polydactyl.

Local band,7TH Heavan play a acoustic set at all the local bars. I enjoy "Hotel California". That sounds pretty good.

Yeah, I've seen those guys do their acoustic thing as well...very talented musicians. You can keep Hotel California though.

There isn't any acoustic guitar in that song.

Did an acoustic show with my buddy Jimmy Six and his arrangement of "Riders On The Storm" worked on acoustic very well, for some reason..

He just played an interesting rhythm pattern and sang and then did the melody line for the guitar/keyboard solo. It sounds weird but it worked...

It's probably cliché, but I've always thought "Over The Hills And Far Away" should be on the "must play" list if you own an acoustic guitar...
