I don't know, but from what I saw on the previews he has not made a very favorable first impression and caused some problems. I don't remember his name, nor have I ever seen him on the show.

Well he got the younger son arrested or at least investigated by the police for prescription drug use.
I am interested to see how the first few episodes look since they did not get camera's on the boats until the very last second possible as some of the boats had quit the show at that point.

A couple of new captains and boats this season so that is good to see, the
captains are pretty young as well which could be interesting. Nothing
spectacular this first episdode but still decent. I liked how they buried
old Phil at sea, thought that was kind of a cool send off in a redneck/sailor
kind of way.

I thought it was a good first episode, and T-Bone that was a redneck sendoff but in their own way I am sure it was perfect. That Cornelia Marie boat is going to be a thang this year, that captain doesn't give a shit. Also, thought it was b.s. that on the young guys boat how they ratted that one guy out and he got kicked off. Couple of the boats are taking huge chances in going after the blue crab too, it will be interesting to see what happens with them.

Another decent episode I guess. I can't remember them going after this
Blue Crab in the past. Seems like a huge gamble. Those things must get
them a pretty penny at market when you are only pulling in a dozen at a
time and the guys are happy with that.

Kenny Williams fell for the banana in the tailpipe

Little bit of drama last night on the show. One guys almost got pulled to
the bottom of the sea by a pot but his crewmmates got him untangled
before he went overboard. Was kind of cool to see Jake take the controls
of the Cornelia Marie there in the middle and get the feel for being a
captain, although that appears to be short lived. He may have screwed
up once again with his substance abuse problem. I also have a feeling
the Ramblin' Rose captain is going to make a huge mistake by not offloading
his Blue crab and trying to continue fishing now that he is catching a lot of
them. I bet they are all dead when he goes to offload.

That Cornelia Marie boat is a ticking time bomb. I agree, that kid running the Rambling Rose is going to really screw up. Hell, he asked the best Captain up there what he should do and he is not going to listen. Hope he likes life as a deck hand.

I only caught the last 5 minutes of the show last night but there is some drama
shaping up for next week with the guy falling asleep in the wheel house and the
boat heading toward a group of other boats.
