Trust me; if you can't walk around this flat course, you've got bigger issues than being in the dog house.

I'm doing 9holes tomorrow morning at a municipal course down near me. I'm bringing my pull cart and renting a rowboat.

Yeah, this course is like 12 holes of a regular course so it is easily walkable. Worst case
we could dink around at Top Golf playing teams or something although I know that is
kinda expensive. Let's just hope the rain stops by dark and when temps warm up the
ground dries up a bit.

I remember playing there as a yute once or twice.

If there is no natural water on the course, I'm sure I'll find some tomorrow.

Have fun at your polar bear club golf outing tomorrow.

Let me know when you schedule one that isn't during the middle of freezing monsoon season.

/told you so

difference being golf isn't a sport, its a game. Pretty much just a bigger version of pool. And this is coming from someone who loves golf. That said, would you play pool outside in a freezing monsoon?

It's not the old part, just fat and out of shape. Well technically I guess I am a shape, but you know what I mean. :D

People that use pull carts probably hate reggae music too. Did Frank also say that he owns his own personal pull cart? What in the hell is going on around here?

Pull carts.... :?

I have used a pull cart once in my life, and that was shortly after my ACL reconstruction. A squirrel on the course still called me a pussy, although that may have just been the Vicodin.

My bag doesn't have a stand. I also never bought my cart. It was my Grandpa's years ago and had been sitting collecting dust in my Grandma's garage for years until she went into a home...so I took it.

It basically looks like this (except right side up)

I'm considering bringing a bag of marshmellows to throw around the course for the benefit of the players behind me, but I don't think the grounds crew would appreciate that very much.

The forecast calls for 58 and sun just prior to our tee times. Sounds like a glorious day.

Shakes plays only in the summer months so he has a better chance of shooting under the temperature.

The next board outing can be men vs. women:

men (somehow find a way to carry their own clubs, plus beer and possibly a lit cigar)

vs.

women (pull-carts, no checking, no loud music, minimum spf 150)

By the way, I have also been informed that outside alcoholic beverages are not allowed on the course. So be sure to tuck them deep into your golf bags, fellas.

A below-average golfer makes his way to the first tee on a private country club. Before teeing off, the starter approaches the golfer and tells him, "Please, enjoy yourself today on our beautiful course. However, if you happen to break a leaf on any tree or a petal on any flower, you will be forbidden to play here ever again. Succeed, and the rewards will be plentiful."

On the third hole the golfer hits his ball into a flower bed full of buttercups. Being ever true to the rules of golf, the golfer takes his chances and plays the ball where it lies. Stunningly, he manages to not only get his ball out of trouble, but does so without harming a single flower.

Out of nowhere a course ranger drives up to the man and hands him a coupon. "What's this?" the golfer asks.

"Because of your care and attention to those buttercups, you just won yourself a year's worth of the finest butter in the world!"

The golfer made a disappointed face and uttered, "Gee. Thanks a lot."

"What's the problem?" the ranger asked. "Do you not enjoy butter?"

"I like butter just fine. But where the hell were you last hole when I hit out of the pussywillows?"
