For the last 15 years I have been sitting in the same section at Wrigley Field. I say hello to the same absent minded elderly guy who shakes my hand and says hello "May I see your ticket?".

He then proceeds to make sure we sit in only our seats. Not any of the 4 empty ones next to us, but just the 4 we have. It has always been a fight with the seating guys. I understand, someone is telling them to make sure everyone sits only in their seats and they followed these orders like soldiers. Even if nobody else showed up, they just became a pain in the ass.

I know other season ticket holders must have complained also as it got a little too confrontational with security being called over to talk to pissed off ticket holders, etc. a few times over the past few years.

Today we walk in, "seat guy" takes my ticket, shows me where my seats are. Granted there is a massive guy in the aisle seat, who could have got up to let us in, but instead the seat guy says 'Why don't you go down to Row 2 and take those 2 seats until someone comes"

"ELIZABETH, IT's THE BIG ONE"

I was shocked? What? Sit int he totally open seats? Down lower? Closer to the field? and you are asking me to move down to the seats I dont have tickets for????

Really? Why now? After 15 years? Now I can sit in the empty seats?

Someone need a better picture on TV??? or did common sense finally raise it's ugly head and a manager said "stop hasseling the paying customers"

In years past, all games were sold out. This year, not even close. No one has been coming to the games, so who gives a shit. I'm sure if it was a sold out game, they would make sure you sat in your correct seats.

25 years ago you could sit anywhere as long as you paid. Had upper deck seats and if you went lower and no one was in them you were all good. Changed after about the 84 season. Cash cow is dried up now.

Sounds like Jerry needs to employ some of these thugs to keep the Alsipians in the upper deck where they belong.

I'd call that a one time deal. We were there on Sat. 6 rows behind Cubs dugout and the oldtimers were checking stubs all day.
