didn't frank vogel say that if indiana won tonight they'd win the whole series?

well i'd love to see them come back and win the improbable 6-4 best of 11... and the blackhawks just lost. wow. i'm stunned.

Boozer all of the sudden comes down with an injury. How convenient.

Quote:
Carlos Boozer has turf toe

CHICAGO -- Chicago Bulls power forward Carlos Boozer suffered a turf toe injury to his right big toe during the second quarter of a 116-89 victory over the Indiana Pacers in Game 5 on Tuesday.

X-rays taken after the game were negative, and he will be re-evaluated by Bulls team doctors on Wednesday.

"I just went up for a shot, the one I made in the second quarter, early in the second quarter, and felt a pop," Boozer said after the game. "I'm just going to get it right. It's a good thing we got some time before the next [series]."

Boozer's injury puts a cap on a rough series for the Bulls' prized free agent acquisition. He spent a majority of the series in foul trouble, and managed just two points in over 15 minutes on Tuesday night.

When asked what Bulls coach Tom Thibodeau can do to get him back in rhythm offensively, Boozer said: "We'll have to see who we're playing. See what the matchups look like. And we'll take care of that later. That's four or five or six days away."

Game 1 of the Bulls Eastern Conference semifinal series against either the Atlanta Hawks or Orlando Magic is set for Monday night at the United Center.

Boozer admitted that he is dealing with some frustration due to his recent poor play.

"Everybody get frustrated a little bit," he said. "But the biggest thing about us is we hold together as a group of guys, and we have one goal in mind, to win. And no matter what happens, as long as we win, that's all that matters."

I'm officially done with Boozer. The team can deal with his struggles on the offensive end, but he is just a turnstile on defense. I would much rather have Taj out there scoring 8-10 points, and playing tough D for 40 minutes. Boozer's weak layup attempts are not going to win a series, defense is.

I agree. At this point, Taj is a better option.

Not quite ready to give up on him yet. They will need him to get his shit together going forward. Even though I like Taj, he can't score like Boozer when he's on...

But then add defensive prowess and the ability to hit three's as a much better rate. Oh, and not shoot 41%. Also, a bunch of assists and steals.

But other than that, Carmelo-esque, sure.

I'll say that Luol has definitely played at an All-Star level this year. Clearly the best year of his NBA career.

I look at it in madden rating terms

Boozer is like an 80 on offense and a 20 on defense

Taj is like a 60 and a 70

130>100

Thank you

Is this a "maybe Boozer should play WR for the Bears" post?

The way the Hawks looked last night I am not so sure we will even see that first game.

It's all going to come down to the Magic knocking down outside shots. If they shoot the 3 well, they can easily win games 6 & 7. If they shoot like they did in the first 4 games of the series, the Hawks will survive.

RPB, how many players in Madden do you have play both ends of the ball? I've never found myself checking Adrian Peterson's defensive rating to see if he is a better running back than Matt Forte.

I think you know what I mean.

I dont play NBA Live so I just used Madden.

That must've been NBA Live '96.

My favorite one was '98.

They have all the game intros and menu music for the old Live games on Youtube. Go watch some of those...fucking memory lane.
