According to Mully's source, we have been vindicated Peoria Matt. Baldwin would have made this offense so much more easier to watch.

I'm not buying this Bears bashing. Baltimore is more to blame. They see the clock. It's their pick. If it's going down to the last minute and a trade is not official, make your god damn pick. Jerry wasn't trying to do it on purpose. His responsibility is to the Bears. If he's taking his time to weigh it, the Ravens need to move. Bottom line. So screw the Ravens.

This is how it went down with 20 seconds on the clock.

Jerry Angelo: Baltimore, my offer is this: nothing. Not even the price of this phone call, which I would appreciate if you would put up personally.

Baltimore:

Good Christ are you dumb ...... I mean, really, you might have just plumbed to new depths with that mind-numbing fuckery of a post.

What specifically was lost by Jerry being in Chicago or Istanbul? And I don't mean your idiot opinion ... I want concrete, non-subjective facts here.

Ummm...see my first post in this thread. NFL GM's gp tp the draft since it is the single most important function that they are responsible for. How the hell can an NFL GM not participate in the draft? This lazy dumb fuck should be fired.

NFL GM's don't go to the draft.

You're still dumb.

Thank you. And as others pointed out, no GMs go to the draft.

Not true. Be careful when assuming that other posters know what they are talking about because many GM's do in fact attend the draft. Perhaps Jerry should go to see what it is all about. Maybe he could actually pull off the trade that he botched & he could have got the WR that he was trading up to get.

GMs do not go to the draft.

He wasn't trying to trade up for a WR.

You are an idiot.

I can't remember seeing a single GM ever interviewed in person at the draft and given how pretty much every player gets the "phone call from the GM" shown on tv I'm pretty sure they aren't talking to them from 50 feet away.

GM's do go to the draft.

Jerry was trading up to pick Jonathan Baldwin, WR, Pitt.

GM's do go to the draft.

Jerry was trading up to pick James Baldwin, WR, Pitt.

My sources tell me he was trading up for Stephen Baldwin....but talks broke down when he insisted on also including the rights to Daniel Baldwin

Name one GM who has been at the draft. As Brick noted there is never a GM interviewed on site. They have all the war room cameras on location at the teams facilities.

I will not believe for one minute that Angelo was trying to trade up for a WR. He does not draft WR high he drafts lineman high.

You are still an idiot.

The future can't wait for the Patriots

Wait 'til next year used to be the slogan attached to the Red Sox; now it's the Patriot Way on draft day. When it comes to the NFL Draft and cashing in on their yearly cache of draft picks, the war room in Foxborough becomes a waiting room.

You wonder if Patriots coach Bill Belichick pushes his calendar a year ahead on New Year's Day each year, or if has ever pushed the up button in an elevator.

I think that quote makes it safe to assume that Baltimore was not in NYC either.

GM's and coaches are never at the draft. Never. There is really no point for them to be there.

The only people at the draft are the players, agents, parents, possies and gold-digging white women. That's it.

Might want to check out Biggsy's story on this whole episode.

Lesson to be learned: Don't give Angelo the benefit of the doubt. He's a dope who would never be employed as an NFL GM by any other team than the Bears.

I have confirmation that was Zombie Al Davis. It's difficult to determine, because he looks just like Zombie Al Davis.

I'm not saying Angelo didn't screw up. I'm saying the responsibility is on the team with the pick in a situation like this. If it's going down to the wire you just have to say the hell with it and make a pick if you're not 100% sure it will be properly done before time expires. You take the risk of what happened otherwise.
