Finishing up Week 4 of P90X, and I am pretty impressed with the results.

Core synergistics during this "recovery week" is a complete pain in the ass since you really need enough room to move around. Other than that, the other videos have been intense and very helpful.

Waste of dough. The only thing that ever worked was ephedra and it just killed people.

They pulled the active ingredients in all that shit when that out of shape Orioles pitcher went and bombed half a bottle before working out in the 105 degree heat. All it does now is cost money.

getting there. At thise rate, I'll hit my goal this summer. Things are getting easier now, easier to work out, longer workouts... and I'm feeling shitty if I take a day off from the treadmill so something must be going right.
I feel fucking good.

Great job!

I'm gonna hit the scale saturday for the first time in a month. Still working out a ton and eating right, but have allowed some bad food to sneak back into the diet. Should be interesting to see where I'm at on the scale. My last weigh in was 192-193, down 32-33 pounds from my start weight of 225. My guess is I'm somewhere around 195 now. My goal was to see a number in the 180s so I'm gonna crack down for another few weeks to see if I can reach it. Then I'm gonna eat a pie.

Week six of P90X. I'm stronger, more flexible, and my balls have swollen to the size of grapefruits. I'm told that this could be a sign I am doing lunges incorrectly, but that isn't coming from a doctor.

I'm down 30 lbs. this year. Probably my lightest since freshman year of college (10 years ago....yikes). I started running two months ago and am actually thinking about signing up for the Rock n Roll half marathon. It's oddly addicting.

Does anyone have a nutrition plan that is effective in not only losing weight but maintaining energy throughout the day? Since I burned the P90X videos from a torrent, I didn't get the nutrition plan that goes along with it. I also don't want to spend a million dollars on a specialized program or something.

Eat a protein or fat with your snacks. Nuts, avocados, half sandwich, stuff like that. Meals should be heavy on veggies and fruit, low on startches, and a meat. Incorporate beans or lentils. The digest slowly and keep you full longer.

While a little on the expensive side, almonds are a pretty good snack if you like them. I know they sell them in 100 calorie packs as well if you are trying to stay at a certain calorie level.

Weighed in at exactly 195 just like I thought I would. Not upset, I've slacked a bit on my diet and went to Mexico and gained 1 pound in a month and a half. Not bad. Still 5 pounds to go to make my goal, shouldn't be a problem, although Memorial Day weekend will be a stumblinb block since I go up to Wisconsin for the weekend.

Great job to everyone so far. Keep it up. I'm going to start participating here. My max weight was 217 lbs. My ultimate goal is 175 lbs. I'm currently 210 lbs. I'm shooting for 1 1/2 to 2 lbs. per week. I'll settle right now for 185 lbs.

Not quite. But I'm down to 201 lbs. Great job again to everyone keeping up with it and getting healthier.

Down from 205 I got the 191 I wanted. I could probably knock off another 5.

236 now. So I'm losing about a pound a week at this rate.
Started at 265. Getting better. Soon I'll look like my old photo!

You'd better plan on calling off the dogs for tomorrow! Lots of beer and food to be had at the game. Either that or get up early and get a workout in.

Moderation my man. But yeah, I intend to work out before I leave the house.
One hour on treadmill. 5mph. 4 incline (whatever that means) = 1000 calorie burn!

I did 3.87 mi in 50:07 last night. Both are highs for me. I think It was because I didn't sweat as much, and didn't lose as much water weight, so I wasn't as drained....you health nuts can probably answer that for me.

I left the gym last night and I still had a lot of energy, and if I didn't have to go to work today I would have probably lifted some weights (I don't lift weights on days I do treadmill.)

Weight Loss category, dropped 10 lbs since mid December doing almost no exercise. Only change in diet is I cut out all carbonated beverages, most sweets and bring basic lunches to work. FTR, beer is considered a food group in the hanna home. It is still in play.

Started the year at 200, and I'm currently 168. Just signed up for a half marathon. Looks like the weight has to stay off.

damn, greg, i'd say out of everybody here you'd probably "show" the most difference in your body shape. depending on your height, i guess. that's great. keep it up everybody!

spmack, eventually i'd suggest upping your running pace; you'll bring your metabolism up.

I remember this thread. I am still down 10lbs but have done nothing in the last 2 months. Just marginally watching what I am eating.

I'm 5'8". People did not believe me when I say I was pushing two bills at Christmas. Guess I hid it well. It's embarrassing to even type that my weight got that bad.
