I am watching the game in the background while I work from home and that between the legs flip that Brandon Phillips had the other night was kind of sick

Oh well, I'll take it. Starlin looks lost at the 3spot. His OPS there is .392

Batting order and how much it matters is kinda overrated.

There is definitely a difference in a players mindset and the types of pitches they are likely to see

He intimidated the catcher into missing the ball.

Doug Davis just had a strong start going like 7 innings and only throwing 80 some pitches. I guess his next stop is Des Moines then probably into Russel's spot in the rotation. Has anyone heard anything on a timetable on Cashner and Wells?

FYI While I am writing this Jay Bruce went yard. Len started the inning by talking about how Garza had the Cubs record for most K's without giving up a Home Run.....knew that was going to be a jinx damnit.

True.

But I think too much is made of it. I think its as simple as wanting your best hitters batting as much as possible.

The whole He's a two hitter...or he should be batting sixth instead of 4th is overstated in my opinion

Len kasper is the WORST, most boring sleepyhead announcer ever

I am 4 feet from the TV, I watch Garza throw a curveball to Bruce for a strike...i turn back to my computer for what seems a half minute, I look back and Bruce is in the dugout having just rounded the bases after a 3-run HR

Note, not a meaningless solo homer in the 8th inning of a 10-1 game

but a 3-run HR to draw more or less first blood in the 4th inning in a key division game

how the hell does Len Kasper call such a 3-run HR by a star player and i dont even hear it? WTF? although Hawk woulda fell silent, it woulda got my attention...a call by Harry Caray , it woulda got my attention...why is Len such a sleepy broadcaster? he has no life in him...always trying to be the nice polite guy...fuck him...be more exciting..show some enthusiasm fro the game...unbelievable...and to make it worse, they didnt even show a replay of the HR!!!

why? who cares if it was the opposing team? I wanna see it!!

Fuck Len Kasper and this new generation of Cub telecasting

i mean, it's like being in a lecture and u have to pay attention or else u miss what the lecturer is saying...same with Kasper...he does NOTHING to let u know whats going on...unless a Cub hits a homer, then he has his g a y "outta here" inflection...fuck him...so scripted and g a y and boring

He's too scared to swing. Going to walk to set up the double play

edit I thought the runner was on 3rd when he was on first....excuse. Still about to be a double play here by Soto.

Damn. Struggling pitcher, bases loaded no outs and they get one run. Awful.
