Hate to see a guy like Wade go down, but looking at this from a practical standpoint, Miami may be in trouble if he's out for an extended period of time. The Heat are holding on to the 8 seed right now.

While this has little or no effect on the Bulls making the playoffs, it could prove beneficial to the Knicks, who are currently just 3 games back of Miami.

Hope he gets back on the floor soon...

I'm praying he's back within a month - I have him on my fantasy team, and it's impossible (obviously) to lose the best fantasy player in the league.

Yup, me too. I am in 2 fantasy leagues: the one for this board, and another. Between those two, here are a few of the players I've lost for long stretches of time:

Michael Redd
Carmelo Anthony
Shaquille O'Neil
Nenad Kristic

Now add Dwayne Wade for both teams; god I'm getting hosed on injuries this year.

That's a rough stretch of injuries/suspension....I lost Kristic as well, but picked up Mark Blount and Tyson Chandler before he re-emergeed....can't overcome the loss of Wade though.

Losing Redd and Anthony killed me. Wade is just the cherry on top of this shit sundae.

Sounds like the perfect way to have ended your injury filled season!

Now they're entertaining the possibility of season-ending surgery. All I can say is New Jersey better get their shit together.

Heat (no pun intended), ice, stretching, cortizone shots - two weeks tops.

If he is back in two weeks, I want his doctor's magic meds and I want the local Illinois Bone and Joint orthopedists investigated for malpractice. I'm not a professional athlete, but I've done all the therapy religiously and I'm still feeling the effects of a similar shoulder injury from months ago.
