He is doing a great job, I just have the mental picture I created. I have to get over it and stop picturing himn as the Leprachaun.

One of the main reasons I don't go to Board meetups, I picture half of you as leprachauns. And you don't want to know what I picture the other half as.

fyi, if you have Directv you can go to http://viewers-guide.hbo.com/game-of-thrones/#!/map/ and get inside info on the series that you wouldn't know if you didn't read the books. Just enter your directv password and you can watch enhanced versions of the episodes with pop up type info on all the characters/settings. I'm gonna rewatch the first two eps this way and see if it enhances the experience.

i'm a third of the way through "clash of kings". just like "thrones" it starts slow but it's starting to get interesting. i really love the way martin writes.

couldn't disagree more with the review about this series not having character development. tonight's episode was extremely well written and had plenty of development, and the show's pace is excellent.

here are some bad jokes to give your tummy a tickle.

How do you know if you can trust a eunuch?
It Varys

why did Riverrun?
Winterfell

What's something used to push out anything that's stopping you up?

There is no earthly reason that I should've laughed at that, but I did.

I really liked the third episode. Felt more polished than the other two and flowed alot better. Love the casting of Littlefinger and Old Nan. Perfect. Also liked the interaction between Jorah and Rakharo, but wish they would have made clearer that Rakharo is one of Dany's Bloodriders.

I do not like how Syrio Forel looks like Robert Downey Jr. doing a trumped up Italian accent in a funny wig. I don't know why but I always pictured him bald. And not cheesy.

Dude... I kinda always pictured him like a jazz dance instructor... a little gay italian... so my mental image matched up perfectly. I really got a kick out of that character.

W_Z... I might have been the one that referenced the character development issue. I agree that they have decent character development, but you'll never get as much as the book. I knew they'd have to sacrifice some... but I'm extremely pleased with what they chose to sacrifice. The series is legit good.

That's funny. My wife said the exact thing about Robert Downey jr. I haven't read the books, so some of the stuff is still lost on me, but I really like the show.

Have to agree with Mud, Syrio pretty much matched up exact in my mind.

so was the midget aware his brother threw that kid from the window? i think no..but the man that that launched that kid from the window said something couple weeks ago to the imp at breakfast that made me think he may have known about this..something like "sometimes i wonder what side you are on"

I thought the episode was ok. I liked that the platinum blonde kicked her
pussy brothers ass when he tried to put his hands on her. That is the hardest
part of the show for me, the names. I only know who a few of the characters are
by name. I am saving all the episodes and will likely watch the whole season again
at some point. I am pretty sure the imp has no idea about the brother tossing the
kid off the tower. I found that to be a bit of a surprising twist at the end.

***SPOILER*** (Highlight to see)
The imp isn't... but someone else may be!

***ANOTHER SPOILER***
If you're watching the show you know that big bro silver hair dude is gonna push Dany too far. But when he gets his... it's in a pretty bad ass way. Keep tuned!

Each kid has his wolf with him/her. Except for Sansa's (which Ned had to kill) and Sansa's which she scared away (because Cersei wanted it killed)... but the wolf ain't gone for good. And Bran has his guarding him. That wolf will become important to Bran later on.

Following the names is really tough... in the books, you had a glossary in the back with all the houses and all the names. They also have a map which really helps.

It's cool seeing this through the eyes of someone who hasn't read the books. But you are correct that there is no love lost between Tyrion and the rest of his family... but he's waaaaaay too smart to turn his back on them completely. In the books he is, in my opinion, one of the best written characters ever. Some of his one liners are priceless.
"I have a tender spot in my heart for cripples, bastards and broken things."

This episode had less action and nudity than the others but it set the stage for a lot of future confrontation. People who havent read the books may have been a little a bored but all of that was necessary to advance the story. Next week should be a thing.

No I think the blacksmith is the kings bastard son. That is what I took from it anyway.

Man, I can't even remember why the former Hand got killed. His name is Jon Arryn and he was married to Catelyn Tully's sister. They lived in this bizarre castle on the top of a really high mountain called The Vale. Very cool concept, but the practicality of it always kinda bugged me... suspension of disbelief, I guess.

They only lived in the Eyrie during the Summer, they moved down to the Vale when winter came.
