I don't want to hear any more talk about Rose's "injured" ankle. If he's playing with a sprained ankle, everybody else must be playing with broken ankles. He was the quickest, most explosive player on the court tonight and was getting great elevation on his jump shots.

That's always the case though. I love his "no excuses" mentality. I know I may have mentioned this once or 50 times but the Bulls would be better off going forward if they could have gotten a SG with that money instead of Boozer. Taj is getting close to passing him when it comes to talent. He needs a few post moves but he has already surpassed him in defense and effort. It's sad but the Bulls are a better team with Taj on the court. Did Boozer even play in the 4th?

He hasn't been playing much in the 4th throughout the playoffs. Boozer picks up way too many stupid offensive fouls besides all of the other much discussed problems with his game.

I just can't really get on a guy for being hurt. He's trying. Everyone knows a decent percentage of offensive fouls are subjective. Trust me, Boozer is REALLY good when he's 100%. Dude's only 29, so age can't be a factor. I hope he's not going the Vin Baker route. He has to be really hurt. I don't think he was ever fully healthy after that second injury this season.

I have to admit, his reg season averages are barely "REALLY" good, but some of his playoff performances were very impressive. Please take into consideration the stats I posted included the current Bulls postseason where he's averaging like 10.1ppg so far. Without this current statistical drop with the Bulls Boozer would have a Playoff career scoring average over 20ppg.

It isn't his scoring or even his rebounding keeping me from saying he is REALLY good its his sorry defense and the fact that he tends to disappear for stretches of a time on the court. This post season isn't his best work obviously but like you said he is 29 and not exactly on the upswing.

Philly, you know you're one of my guys on here, but that description could be applied to maybe 3/4 of the NBA. Taking that into consideration, I'm gonna hold back on my Boozer criticism. If Jerry Sloan complained he could never get Carlos to play defense, why should we be surprised when Thibs can't do it? Boozer is just not even close to being a slide and cover the pick and roll with his lateral quickness, because he has no lateral quickness. He's just a scoring and rebounding PF. That's it. He was with Duke, Cleveland, Utah, and now Chicago. Plus he's hurt.

You are absolutely right. I guess I just expect more for 70M. I think Nas' point is true the Bulls would have been in better shape if Atlanta didn't offer the boat at Joe Johnson and he signed for Boozer money and he played SG and they started Taj at PF. Anywhat Boozer's real test will come against Bosh in the next round. If you can't put some points and boards up against him and Joel Anthony then his turf toe must be Panther's idea of Rose's shredded ankle.
