To answer the original thread question: No. The offensive assistant coach ain't got nothing (I repeat, nothing) to do with the issue. The issue is the talent that is on the court, which will be alleviated as soon as they get a second scorer.

As good as Derrick Rose is, this team as constructed will not win an NBA title.

10 ppg for a 7 footer is not that great, considering rose draws double and triple teams and can get him the ball with a good look @ the hoop... the problem with this team is rose is forced to do it all offensively..
