First Ron Rivera....next, Wade Wilson to Dallas? last, Lovie walking away after this season?

Wade Wilson won't be missed, but this does look seem odd that a Super Bowl team is going to have a makeover on it's coaching staff.

But Rex got so much better as the year went on under his guidance. Oh, wait.

Sean Salisbury would be perfect for the next quaterbacks coach. He is a Chicago guy and hopefully he'll be available soon.

That's what happens when your GM doesn't put up the money to keep your coaches around long enough, or refuse to let mediocre players stick around for too long.

I wouldn't be terribly upset if he left. He may be a good head coach monday-saturday, but he hasn't shown me much on game day. No creativity, and not very good at managing the game. He's always losing challenges and that timeout at the end of the Seattle game was brutal.

I feel the same way as do many people I talk to. It seems more than a couple fans on the board wouldn't mind Lovie moving on. The big question is how does the rest of the fan base feel about losing him. PR ramifications of letting a Super bowl coach go could be monstrous, especially if Dave McGinnest is the replacement

Why should we assume it's about money? Lovie's negotiations are about $$, but we don't know that about the assistants. And why is it so bad for coaches to be replaced anyway? I'm heartnened by the fact that Lovie is a strong enough manager who isn't afraid to make changes in his staff where he thinks he can improve. The Bears got underperformance from the QB position in half their games this year. Sure Grossman is the main one responsible, but Wilson has to share the blame too. Maybe Rex will prosper under a new coach. He was too error prone under this one. And hopefully Lovie will use his willingness to make changes and take a broader view of changes to make in the players at the QB, OL and DB positions.

Did Wilson leave willingly or was he shown the door?

The impression I got was that he willingly left on his own accord. Or in his own Accord, if he owns a Honda.

I predict...Lovie does not sign extension.....goes to the Giants after next year and Singelterry is the next Bears head coach. He will be cheap and the "diehards" will be able to live with it because he was an 85 bear.

I think that Singletary needs a coordinator job before he gets a head coaching gig. If Lovie opts out, Rivera will be the next head coach.
