Did this guy get weird!

Following his tweets tonight, sending notes to tons of media guys with "Hey pal, let's catch up, gimme a call"

From all that I've heard, I'd say he was always weird.

Yes, but now desperation oozes from everything him and North do.

Can't believe the only old highlights I can find of ETHS v NTHS are Jed and Peterson scoring from 1984!

If I could find the 1983 State Semi Final game v ETHS, that NT won 6-3 on a last second Houghtlin FG from 43 yards out. Huge pile up in the middle of the field and Coppock ran out there with the Cameras interviewing people.

Ironically, went to a Cubs game with Jed Curtis and Kevin Peterson last year.

I'm pretty sure that was the same play that John Meyer scored a touchdown on early in that 6-3 game only to have it called back on a holding penalty.

Hey, you don't become a serious mover and shaker like Bigfan at Wheeling.

Sounds like something people do when they are drunk. Taking to Facebook and Twitter while drunk is a terrible idea and surveying the wreckage the following morning makes for some bad times.

Still Do lol

When I attended it was only Evanston that mattered. In almost every sport it was us or them that won the Central Suburban League South. Lotsa talent on those late 80's NT and Evanston squads, many Divsion I players in all sports. MAde for some of the very best sporting events ever saw.

I know Maine South has had some great football programs since I am aware, at least I think it is Maine South? or West?

Rick Hielscher on the blocks against Juvon McGarry. Get that weak shit outta there!

E-T-H-S we will fight for you
For the right to do everything for you—
We’ll go in to play and win the game
We will bring you fame! Rah! Rah! Rah!
Orange and the Blue we’ll proudly wear,
May our colors e’er fly!
Victory comes while we sing,
Many trophies we will bring,
So Cheer! Cheer! Beat New Trier
We will win the game for Evanston High.

it was/is Maine South, was fortunate to be a part of one of them. Never understood why the CSL's both north and south were not more dominant, like a dupage valley conference

They had their day. It was hard to top New Trier and Evanston in the 60s and 70s. You've got a lot more kids out in Naperville now.

Thats a good point, those schools are huge, town of Naperville has about 130,000 people if i am not mistaken. Evanston was a school that I could never figure out. At least my time playing them through the SH years they were bad, could never figure that.
