Didn't Castillo get suspended for failing a drug test,or was that another catcher?

Five players have been suspended 50 games each for violating the minor league drug policy.

The commissioner’s office announced the penalties Tuesday.

Chicago Cubs catcher Erick Castillo and pitcher Amalio Reyes were suspended for positive drug tests. They are both on the roster of the Cubs’ team in the Dominican Summer League.

Free agent pitcher Junior Astacio and outfielder Pedro Nunez were suspended for positive drug tests. Free agent pitcher Tony Feliz was banned because he failed to take a drug test.

Albert Pujols shared a brief greeting with Chicago general manager Jim Hendry around the batting cage at Wrigley Field on Tuesday night, embracing and conversing before the series opener between the Cubs and Cardinals. Hendry, who figures to be a key suitor should Pujols become a free agent, spoke briefly to reporters about the encounter.

"Well, he hugged me first?" Hendry told reporters when asked about the greeting. "He's a lot bigger and stronger than me."

Pujols, who had four hits in the Cardinals' 6-4 victory, could have his first shot at free agency after this season. The three-time National League Most Valuable Player Award winner is poised to be the hottest player on the open market, and while Hendry would likely love a shot at adding Pujols, he said that Tuesday's conversation was anything but business.

"'I'm not going to treat Albert any different, and the same with him," Hendry said. "We don't talk about what's going to happen. It's 'How's your son?' 'How's your kids?' I'm just a little different. I've always gotten along with players."

Unfortunately I think it is more likely that Hendry is still the Cubs GM next year than Pujols being back on the Cards.

If he is the GM next year.....there may be no fan base left to speak of. Everyone has a limit and that would probably be it for damn near everyone.

Well isn't this just fucking peachy...if Castillo is in the building get him in the god damn lineup already. He is there so there is no reason why Hill is playing again. When Soto gets back Castillo needs to stay and Hill can go be the bullpen catcher he always should have been somewhere.

I know it's a small thing but the Koyie Hill resigning/arbitration offer is totally mystifying to me. The guy is obviously not a major league ball player. No idea why he is on this team.

The frustrating thing is that most people agree with this and yet he did it anyways. Its as if his goal isn't to put the best possible team on the field or go with a cheap youth movement knowing there will be growing pains. His goal seems to be to see how he can dress up a shit sandwich and sell the most tickets.
