That being said, there is a reason why ABC is reviving "Charlie's Angels" with Minka, Rachael Taylor & Annie Ilonzeh from "General Hospital" in the roles Jaclyn Smith, Kate Jackson, Cheryl Ladd, Tanya Roberts & the late Farrah Fawcett all made famous from 1976-81. There's also a reason why Adrienne Palicki has been tapped to play "Wonder Woman" in an upcoming series from David E. Kelley for NBC.

There's another classic series called "Hawaii Five-O", which has been doing very well on CBS with Alex O'Loughlin & Scott Caan in the roles made famous from 1968-80 by the late Jack Lord & James MacArthur in the original. They say everything old is new again, and network bosses are confident that Joe Viewer would be willing to watch modern versions of classic series that were big in the '70s and could be big in 21st Century prime time. Then again, NBC's updates of "Bionic Woman" and the '80s action hit "Knight Rider" with a Ford Mustang GT bellyflopped in the ratings...

I blame Val Kilmer for the demise of Knight Rider 2.0.

I mean really, how much would it have cost to get the principal from Boy Meets World to reprise his role as the voice of K.I.T.T.?

You're referring to character actor William Daniels, who was NEVER credited with voicing the Pontiac Trans Am in any episode of the original "Knight Rider" from 1982-86. That and the fact producers couldn't find a Pontiac Trans Am and ended up settling for a Ford Mustang GT for the short-lived 21st Century remake of the series.

I don't care if he was never credited. I watched enough Boy Meets World to know Mr. Feeny when I hear him.

That may be the case according to the Hollywood Reporter.

Comcast is apparently balking at the huge price tag associated with bringing the Stephen King series to life in a series of three films and television series.

Comcast is the new owner of Universal and could be unhappy with the overall plan. The Hollywood Reporter cites multiple sources saying the project could be in danger of being put into turnaround. That would mean development would cease and they’d go back to the drawing board.

“Dark Tower is not in turnaround,” Rosenberg tells THR, adding “there are issues and on-going budget discussions with almost every film in development.”

A Universal spokesperson declined to comment.
