Gimmie that trophy, Stern!

Agreed NSJ...especially after NYK went up 2-0 in the 93 Conf Finals....they were very chatty.

I hated the Knicks back then. Just simply despised everything about the team.

Good point. I hated the Knicks too. But, for the most part, except for the Scottie year, the Knicks were underdogs to be beaten, humiliated, and tossed aside.

The Pistons were the big, bad behemoth that the Bulls may or may not be able to slay. Bulls are underdogs again in a conference final.

I am pretty sure the Bulls are going to get sonned, meaning either a sweep or five games. The Heat have 2.5 thoroughbreds, the Bulls have one... it's that simple when you're talking about the Eastern Conference Finals.

But hey, maybe LOL DENG and Boozer can both average over 20+ ppg while the rest of the Bulls play the series of their life and Lebron decides to quit on his team again? Maybe Derrick Rose has the series of his life?

What Dr. Ken failed to mention is that it took the Bulls a few tries to get past the Pistons of old, and this is the first try.

The problem is that this Heat squad is only going to get better and better, the Knicks are coming, and this might the Bulls' best chance to get out of the East for the next five years, so I really really hope I'm wrong.

I never said anything about their seed next year, but there's some awfully interesting pieces they might be able to add next season heading into the 2012-2013 season, that's all I'm saying... these guys are very likely to become the Superfriends v2.0 and have more thoroughbreds than the Bulls, who are going to have that old "try-hard and play defense" thing down from the mid-2000s

You've got it wrong, my friend. This the Heat's first try to get past the Bulls.

Defense wins out. Heat can't beat the Bulls 4 times. Bulls in 7.

I pray that you are right, sir. Someone has to rise up and stop the Heat... lord knows the refs are going to be on their side because the NBA would love to set up the Evil Empire for the national storyline, especially with DAL/OKC/MEM being in the NBA finals.

May the force be with you, good doctor.

It should be a donnybrook of a series starting Sunday night at the United Center, and Turner/TNT Sports are salivating at the prospect of huge TV ratings for this series. As for a pick, I like the Bulls and I like them a lot. Rose, Wade & James will all get their points. Those are givens. The matchup I think that swings the series in the Bulls' favor is who guards Chris Bosh, and I heard ESPN Radio's Marc Silverman mention that Carlos Boozer might not necessarily guard #1 for the Heat. It might be Joakim Noah instead that drives Bosh nuts. As well as Wade & James are playing right now for Miami, I think Chris is bad at basketball and he keeps the Heat from representing the East in the NBA Finals. That'll disappoint the folks at ESPN/ABC who want the Heat in the Finals, but too damn bad! SHARK's got the Bulls in 7...

The Bulls have better defense and rebound better than the Celtics and Heat. I like the defensive matchup for this series as Boozer can go hide a little more effectively. Brewer is rounding back into form. Bogans has been very physical and Wade hates that. Deng has had success on forcing James to drive into help and that has to happen here. James cannot get open 3's.

The Bulls have shown they can have different players step up to score. After Rose throws in 35 points, Noah, Boozer, Deng, Korver, and Bogans have all had at least 1 great offensive game that was enough to get a win. It's just never the same guy which can be frustrating as a fan. Never know where the help is coming from...but I thank God it comes (DROSE).

Udonis Haslem, if he plays, could create a problem for the Bulls rebounding edge. The refs have to let the games be physical. If James/Wade/Bosh get tickytack fouls the Bulls are in trouble. I believe the Bulls can muck up the games and not turn the ball over effectively enough to win in 6 games. But my prediction is Bulls win in 7.

I don't think Udonis Haslem's played all that much for the Heat this season due to a foot injury. He was activated back last Monday vs. the Celtics in Game 4, but got a "T" in only 3 minutes of work.

Welp, I really hope to be proven some sort of wrong and/or an idiot on this one, but I just don't see it happening for the Bulls. I think they're going to get summarily dispatched kind of like the Bears/Packers playoff game.

Early on it'll be "oh shit we're not in kansas anymore, this is bad" and then people like me will be like "see?" and then the Bulls will make a charge back into the series, maybe tying it up at 2-2 or getting it to 2-1 and they'll look good LOL will have ~30 points and it'll be like YOU GOTTA BELIEVE!!!! and then it happens, the beatdown, and it'll be like "well at least we didn't go out like bitches, and we'll get 'em next year when we get a 2 guard we're ahead of schedule!!!!"

Call it a hunch that Derrick Rose won't be photographed out eating mere hours after the season-ending-loss.

So here I am, Mr. anti NBA...& I've watched more NBA hoops in the last 2 weeks than I have watched in the last 10 years & am enjoying the hell out of it. The Bull over the Heat in 7.

I think the series will be decided by Noah/Boozer vs. Bosh/????. If the Bulls have a major advantage in the post, and a clear advantage at the point, they can win and may not even need 7 games. If Bosh is the best player in the post it's over in 6.

I agree with you, Rogue. Look at it this way:

Last year in the first round, a Derrick Rose-led team lost in 5 games to a Lebron-led team, that DIDN'T have Dwade or Bosh. Why does everybody suddenly expect this year's Bulls to beat a BETTER Lebron team than they lost to last year? Doesn't make sense logically.

How do you explain the Bulls being the #1 seed? After all, last year, a Derrick Rose-led team was not the #1 seed.

I think I have this thing figured out.

2010 Blackhawk Hockey needed Crosscheck to doubt them.
2011 Bulls Basketball needs Original Kid Cairo to doubt them.

Thank you. Carry on.

Guys, LeBron James' last Cavaliers' team had the best record in the NBA, for what it's worth, when they played the Bulls. That was a #1 vs. #8 matchup...Going into this series, the shoe's on the foot with the Bulls having the best record in the NBA, and LeBron's not on that team as we all know.

Very thankful to see this. You are the same guy who worried about the Pacers and who said the Hawks were a better team. Keep it going Kid.

OMFG dude if I was into campy board circlejerking I'd declare that I love you and you're my new favorite poster ever.

I lack the fundamental ability to say it as concisely as that, short of my one thoroughbred versus 2.5 thoroughbreds argument, but seriously, I reckon that you and I both hope we're wrong but like, #comeonson on twitter, barring a miracle repeat of Lebron quitting on the cavs last season, the bulls are going to get rolled.

I'm amazed that Burn Stine and everyone else haven't picked up on the obvious subtext to Lebron and the Heatles crying and whatnot.... they know that they're going to win the title now. The Lakers are dead, the Celtics are gone, and they know that they can roll the Bulls.... God, I certainly hope they're wrong, but I think I can see why they did it.... They're pretty damn sure they won the title cuz they know whoever came out of the Bulls/Hawks matchup ain't shit.

It'd take the series of a lifetime from the Bulls, I mean seriously LOL DENG and Boozer would have to justify their existences while these roleplayers will have to play like they never want to have to pay for dinner in this town again. It's technically possible, but I have that at under 10%.

Oh I want to point out that this morning I saw the ESPN first take 1st and 10 thing where they asked "On a scale of 1 to 10, how impressive have the bulls been in these playoffs?" My gut immediately belted out a "4!" and skip bayless agreed with me. Barto and Jared Dudley of the Suns gave an 8 and 8.5 in some order, but really, the Bulls haven't been that impressive... they've had, what, 2-3 games out of 11 where they look like a 62-win heavyweight? MM-HMM.
