Sad to hear this. He was a real good guy. When I lived up in the KC area I often heard him on the radio and always enjoyed it.

When I was out in Bozeman, I had MLBTV to watch the White Sox. More often than not, you would get the home team's TV feed so I watched a good dozen or so games over the course of those 2 years with Splittorf calling the games. He was a really good color man. I couldn't believe that that bad a team had such a good TV crew.

Pretty sad to hear, and 64 is not even that old.
