Q Ball knows he is one and done. Bruce Kimm and Tom Trebelhorn rolled into one. He is gonna fight like a fish out of water through a pile of shit in a drainage ditch. And boy is he in one.

He was going crazy, for quite a while actually. Hands waving, screaming, stomping around.......

I have never seen anything quite like this argument in my many decades of watching baseball. I did question Quade's sanity for a moment.

This season is approaching fun-bad territory. I wish Murph was on in the evenings--he'd have a field day with this team. That rain delay tirade by Qball was something. It looked like all the fans had left anyway.

Ricketts is fucked.

Well, I'm done defending Quade. The Rain Delay Tirade is the straw that broke the camel's back. Of all the things this season to be upset about, and he picks this one...

He's made a couple of minor league manager type moves the past couple games. Z bating was inexcusable. Seriously. If I were the GM I'd think long and hard about firing him just for that.

The Cubs have lost 2 rain shortened games this year. I don't know if i can blame him for freaking out. When you score 4 runs in the 1st, you expect to win the game. Not see your starter go less than 2 innings and have your reliever throw 12 balls in a row would have to be really stressful

that puts them on a pace for 9 errors today if my math is correct. I think under Qball's leadership...they can accomplish this. Thank God they teach fundamentals...imagine if they didn't! Ha

With the age of this team, if they don't know fundamentals by now, they aren't going to learn them. So Quade stressing them or not makes no difference.

Yeah but he is going to get blamed regardless.

For sure. He's made some questionable moves, but it's hard to blame him for errors. Playing the hand he's dealt.

Yep, that is what the minor league is for. I dont think Joe Torre won all those titles by teaching Jeter the proper way to complete a 4-6-3 double play.

CHICAGO -- The Chicago Cubs acquired pitcher Rodrigo Lopez from the Atlanta Braves for a minor leaguer on Thursday, according to a source familiar with the situation.
Lopez, 35, started 33 games for the Arizona Diamondbacks last season and had a 7-16 record with a 5.00 ERA.

The Braves signed him to a minor league deal before the season. Lopez is 6-1 with a 2.59 ERA for Triple-A Gwinnett.

It looks like we won't have to worry about following Brett Jackson. (I hope that will be a joke)

It won't be Brett Jackson. Maybe Jay Jackson. It sure as hell better not be DJ, Flaherty or anyone else off that AA roster. Give em Bobby Scales.

It was minor league pitcher Ryan Buchter. He wasn't on the radar. He may get to the big leagues someday but he is a 33rd round pick of the nationals who ended up with the Cubs a few years back and has done nothing worth noting in his entire minor league career.
