last year, patterson was playing everyday and always in the middle of things...hitting near .290 for most of the season, and always stealing bases

everytime u looked at the boxscore, u expected patterson to steal a base

well this year, he's wasting no time again

he was injured to start the year, but finally played just 3 games ago...in 3 games this week (all starts), he is hitting .429 with 1HR and 4 RBIs already...also has a stolen base

I think he is a good fit in Toronto...not highly pressure packed, and he can put his talents to good use

little by little he's putting a nice little career for himself together...this year makes him a 12-yr veteran and I hope he continues to have a great year...it will buy him at least another year next year in the big Leagues...meanwhile, Eric Patterson is still struggling to carve out a niche for himself

Go Corey!!! We love u and miss u here in Chicago! stay classy!

Corey Patterson is a very gifted athlete. He has always had the abilities needed to succeed. Unfortunately, he saw himself as a 30/30 guy and tried to hit for power, rather than hitting to all fields and utilizing his great speed. It's a shame he has not been an All-Star several times already. I don't know if he will have a great season or not (I do feel certain that I will take crap for this post however) but if he does I will not be shocked.

Patterson is one of the best bench guys ever! You have an injury to a starter and you need a guy for 1 month, Patterson is your guy!

I would even trade for him before a playoff run.

He just can't maintain focus for a whole year.

Not sure about loving and missing him, but what Whistler does in his free time is his business.

ANAHEIM -- Rajai Davis is expected be out of action for at least the next couple of days after re-aggravating his right ankle injury on Sunday afternoon.

The Blue Jays remain hopeful that Davis will not require a stint on the 15-day disabled list. He will rest for a couple of days, while recently activated outfielder Corey Patterson likely assumes the starting job in center until Rajai returns.

You don't understand! I coulda had class. I coulda been a contender. I could've been somebody, instead of a bum, which is what I am."

5-7 with the game-winning HR in extras on Sat.
4-5 with a HR on Sunday

OK enough with the Go Corey.

However, would love some reporter to get a real exit interview with this guy and hear what he had to say about being in Chicago and why he shows amazing streaks, then goes below .200???

I would like to applaud Whistler for making 2 posts in this thread and not once using the word "bully". Keep it up champ. We're proud of you.

Corey is alright. Why his brother still is on a major league roster is beyond comprehension though.

Thats one hell of an outfield they have in Toronto. With Patterson playing left and Rajai davis in center, they can track down fly balls about as well as any outfield in the league. Patterson just keeps raking too. He just killed the Sox in their series and looks like a guy that might actually put a real season together. About time Corey....the guy should have been on several All-Star teams by now.
