While he is starting for the Cubs due to injuries and sucking, the guy is not an every starter. He is Juan Pierre light

Maybe if they teach him some slap bunts, he can hit some singles, etc.

However, he is a great bench player to have. 2 Years ago when I saw his stats of 66 SB's, i was shocked they never called him up. Even if he hit .100, the stats don't lie, the kid could move.

Now I have seen him play for a few weeks and he can play defense and he can run. Sure he cant hit, but it is what was expected.

This is the type of player I have wanted the Cubs to have as a 5th OF for yearrrrsss! Especially during any playoff run!

He does not hit into double plays, he is just too fast. He will steal bases. The guy is a late inning pinch runner.

Hendry has never signed that type of player, but I know who did for about 14 years. Bobby Cox! I think tht guy might know somethings. Otis Nixon.

The Cubs revolving door continues with the addition of two other minor league "thumpers":

The Cubs will get another infusion of youth Monday when Double-A Tennessee infielder D.J. LeMahieu joins the team in time for the Astros series.

Sources said LeMahieu, 22, will replace infielder Jeff Baker, who will be placed on the 15-day disabled list with a left groin strain.

Jeff Baker Baker was injured last week in Boston and tried to play through it before aggravating the strain during a pinch-hitting appearance Saturday.

LeMahieu, a second-round draft pick out of LSU in 2009, has split time between second and third base this season, hitting .358 with 15 doubles and 27 RBIs in 50 games. He joins recent call-ups Tony Campana, Luis Montanez and Brad Snyder, who was summoned from Triple-A Iowa on Sunday after Reed Johnson was placed on the 15-day DL with back spasms.

It's the fifth straight season Johnson has been on the DL with back issues. Snyder was hitting .342 at Iowa with seven homers and 29 RBIs in 38 games.

If only the Cub didn't have so many overpaid, under performing vets, we could at least see if these kids could someday contribute to the MLB roster.
It's time to back the truck up and rid the squad of any vet you can. Oh yeah and fire Hendry.

yes he did...his name was Joey Gathright...and he was gone after 2 weeks

they also had another guy that fit the mold, and traded him away: Sam Fuld.
Fuld was Campana but a slightly better hitter

bottom line, Hendry hates the little man....Hendry woulda hated Doug Dascenzo

Most here would rather not see what you're saying.

Too bad none of these guys can pitch.

And while I like Campana, he better learn to take a walk. With his speed, he needs to be on base. He ain't doing shit in the dugout.

Len just interviewed him in the bleachers. I'm pretty sure he'll turn into an old doctor if he walks across Waveland.

Well he's tied for the team lead in SB already, so he's got that going for him.

Caruso had a great offensive rookie year for a 21 year old...but leading the Majors in Errors, was another accomplishment of his!

Today Tony C tossed the ball into the crowd, right over Len and Bob in Left Center, perfectly so the fans feel right on Len and Bob. Nice play kid!

If you are ahead of the game I want to go back about 75 years. And ignore every thing you have posted for at least the last 2 years. Reason is correct. Most here would rather not see what you are saying. Or read it. We are all now dumber for having read or seen it.
