The Zoo...and the Easton mall. They had the original Wendy's but they closed it down while I was living there.
What's sad, is that I'd move back there in a heartbeat even with the idiotic OSU fans.

If a mall is in your top 10 list of things about what you like about where you live, methinks you got to re-evaluate some stuff. ;)

It's not the mall, it's that I currently live 1 hour from anything. You want good Mexican food you have to go an hour. Hell Taco Bell is 45 minutes away! Good Japanese? 1 hour. A water park for the kids? you get the idea. It makes us look back at our time in Ohio very fondly.

I lived in Manhattan before Chicago. Chicago is a quaint little suburb in contrast. I suppose it is all relative. Columbus was an education in urban sprawl, in my opinion.

After spending 4 years attending school in Ohio, I'm not sure what I would need to be paid to ever live there again.

Cincy, Toledo, Youngstown, Akron, Cleveland, Columbus all are absolutely terrible places.

Ohio State should get used to the term "Lack of Institutional Control".

"My guy" says he could resign this week, as early as tomorrow. Take it as a FWIW, obviously.

If your guy is right, why wouldn't he have done that already.

First off, good source Bucky Chris.

Fickell coach this year, then Ohio State go get Urban Meyer.

I think this had to happened with everything that was coming out, a little suprised he is doing it now, thought he would wait until the hearing in August, but probably knew it was going to happen and just wanted no more distractions heading into the season.

The big question, with his record at Ohio State, does he get another job, and will throw this out the coach in waiting at West Viriginia is having some alchol problems, could this be a landing spot.

There are things out there that an SI story will be coming out tonight, was supposed to be tommorow, that could make Ohio State look worse.

One thing I have heard because of it, is that Terrelle Pryor may have played his last game as a Buckeye.

There have indeed been some tweets from ex-players that seem to point to Pryor being the fall guy for all this.

Have heard "Pryor was driving a new car every week." Not sure if that is what this is about though.

Shit, he even drove one with dealer tags to the meeting tonight where they're supposed to can him.

SI article is up too.

Quote:
One of Tressel's duties then was to organize and run the Buckeyes' summer camp. Most of the young players who attended it would never play college football, but a few were top prospects whom Ohio State was recruiting. At the end of camp, attendees bought tickets to a raffle with prizes such as cleats and a jersey. According to his fellow assistant, Tressel rigged the raffle so that the elite prospects won -- a potential violation of NCAA rules. Says the former colleague, who asked not to be identified because he still has ties to the Ohio State community, "In the morning he would read the Bible with another coach. Then, in the afternoon, he would go out and cheat kids who had probably saved up money from mowing lawns to buy those raffle tickets. That's Jim Tressel."

After reading the SI article it's really not that damning. I mean maybe I'm cynical about college sports, but there's not much there that screams "he's got to quit over this." I suppose it could be the quantity of stuff, but that doesn't overwhelm me either.

I agree too KDdidit, but it will probably be some loss of scholarships, but I don't see a bowl ban like USC.

I hear what you are saying... it's like death by a thousand paper cuts. It doesn't help that dOSU is just sitting on this stuff and not saying anything. How many times does this story state something like "SI contacted said person, but he did not return SI's calls requesting comment."

By the way, how stupid is Terrelle Pryor. All the kid has to do is keep his nose clean for 4 years and then have your ticket to the NFL and that friggin' awesome pension. Idiot.

Pryor going to get it too... but frankly it won't matter. The kid will still go to the NFL and probably do quite well. I just won't be buying his jersey for my kid.

Extremely stupid. With all of the media attention yesterday, he drove to the team meeting in a new car with dealer plates.

In the aftermatch of Jim Tressel’s forced resignation today, Tressel’s replacement for the 2011 season, Luke Fickell, called a team meeting on Monday evening in Columbus.

During WBNS-TV reporter Dan Fronczak’s live standup outside the site of the meeting, the Columbus television station aired video of Terrelle Pryor arriving at the Woody Hayes Athletic Center for the all-hands gathering of Buckeye football players.

Part of that footage showed Pryor driving a late model vehicle outfitted with a temporary tag dated May 24. Here is a photo of the car, which is a 2007 Nissan 350Z:

If I was an NFL GM, I wouldn't have much problem with guys who took money. It isn't going to be an issue in the NFL. While it might indicate a poor moral compass, if that was a character flaw there would be far more troubling incidents over 4 years at college.

I just read the SI column on this issue. Now I know why I have never subscribed to SI until this year (Free Raiders Jacket). Man Oh Man,small print,6 pages long just to tell me some college kids traded jerseys for tats. The guy who is giving eyewitness accounts is behind bars,a convicted felon. I know Tressel is a dishonest guy going back to his junior college coaching days, but let's face reality.
Go to any big college and see what the star QB or RB is driving and get back to me.
