Given he seems to kiss some serious Ricketts ass, will this dufus survive the likely mass firing at years end? Clearly they could benefit from a real baseball guy as President but will Ricketts pony up the cash or keep the ass licker? 10 to 1 Kenney stays...

The smart squad in town gave JMD his due today. He should have got the same from this train wreck. Nothing like a lawyer in a suit who knows nothing about baseball having input on a franchises major decisions huh? Ricketts needs a brain enema. How stupid assholes have money is a question for the ages. The lucky sperm club rides on!!!

The current Cubs situation is very similar to the Bears situation after the 2010 season. GM & head coach should have been fired & somehow they survive. I'm afraid that Hendry & Quade will somehow survive this.

How is this similar? The Bears were coming off a NFC Championship game appearance. The Cubs were coming off a disappointing season with no improvement in sight.

Apparently 4th place finish and Near Championship game appearance is the same in your mind.

I think he might but I cant believe that Hendry would. I would love to see both idiots gone but at a minimum you HAVE to fire Hendry.

I'm not sure how you missed all the talk & chatter to fire Jerry & Lovie a couple of years ago.

Edit: I think it was after the 2009 season, right?

Boys, you are WAY OFF on this one.

Crane is employed as a real estate developer basically, which means he is equally ineffective in baseball and real estate.

The really bad part is that Ricketts is using him as the connections to the City and State elected officials.

I just don't see him going anywhere because of that.

HOWEVER, If Ricketts was really as smart as his Daddy thinks he is, Crane would have a new title and maybe a new company to be President of called CUB PROPERTIES, LLC.

He shook down Mesa's city government for a new facility, and is trying to do the same in Chicago. I highly disapprove of such corporate welfare. Life isn't sports.

That is a great question to which most of us have no answer.

I'd have to see that one to believe it.
