As we approach season ticket appreciation weekend, we will be allowed to play catch, hand out, etc. at Wrigley on the field this weekend for a couple of hours.

Plus, I got an autographed ball today from Cashner, Castro and Colvin sent to me from the Cubs. No note, no nothing, it's in a cube, I assume it is a "Please renew your tickets" request?

Actually he walked it over, hit the buzzer and handed it to me. It was Fed Ex

Tom was on the field today. So was Crane, Wally and all the department heads.

Plus FREE hot dogs, popcorn, Pepsi or Aquafina. They had huge inflatables on the field for kids to bounce on. I took a few swings in the batting cage and toured the Batter Eye, Cubs clubhouse and even got to see Ozzie's office (no wonder he complains).

The ball was the incentive for those who chose to pay for thier 2011 season tickets via check. If you paid by credit card no ball.

When I mean unattended, before people stopped coming to the games and he was out and about, he had an army of nazi your communications guys with him, reading blackberry messages to him, keeping him on schedule like a publicist would.
