I am against throwing any individual players under the bus when the team is playing so poorly as a whole but someone needs to start calling out this team and apparently Quade is not up to the task. I just wish that it was Dempster or Wood maybe, neither of those guys had an individual stake in this game so it would not be looked at with such skepticism.

I know Marmol threw the pitch yesterday and he's had a rough stretch, but could Z have been calling out Quade for calling that pitch? Or is Z not that smart and that is giving him too much credit?

If he didn't say anything about the Theriot at bat and just said the AAA and embarassing parts of that bit, would the fans be praising him?

I could see Z calling out all parties involved - Marmol, Hill, Quade, Riggins - for allowing that to happen.

Koyie Hill handled the situation more diplomatically yesterday, but he was fair and honest. That's all anybody is asking for. The closed door crap isn't working. The "it has to get better" rah-rah nonsense isn't working either. Just be honest with the fan base.

Seems like many ARE praising him (clearly not me), but I will agree with you that if he had simply said "we are playing like a AAA team and it's embarrassing," then he wouldn't come across as such a selfish a-hole.
