Indeed he did. Kinda weird. My little sister just got married and the wedding was great, lots of work, but great. No way in hell would she just get married and some small ceremony without family and friends present. It was a time for celebration and for the families to know each other and all of that stuff

Everyone is different I guess.

He's probably getting on her insurance. That COBRA shit is expensive. This is the best way to go.

Yes it is, plus I spend hours arguing with my insurance company trying to get them to actually pay. Seems to me that they just really do not want to pay for any type of medical assistance that I need, which is kinda troublesome considering they are an insurance company.

Meatpants makes no sense. Times when folks would expect him to take off a day he is in studio. Times when people will complain about it he is gone. I don't think he is the sharpest knife in the set.

I don't understand why people seem to care so much if and when he is on the air.

That would be the irony of ironies. A couple guys that made a career by being the anti-WGN and making fun of Wally and Roy talking to the old biddies and giving away Ladybug alarm clocks ending up becoming Wally and Roy.

The even sadder thing is that I'd probably listen all the time. I'm old.

Garry had to address his WGN bashing several times when he first went on the air there as callers kept bringing it up. He pretty much attributed it to competition.

Steve Dahl didn't really say anything horrible about the wedding. Meier's wife completely over-reacted and manipulated the break-up of one of the best radio teams ever. They may have been headed that way anyway, but Yoko Meier expedited the issues...

She had that BeBe North thing going where she became his agent. I remember reading something where she negotiated contracts as a real estate broker (which isn't entirely true) so she would be able to negotiate personal services contracts...then proceeded to lose him several million dollar deals.

2nd marriage for both. Not sure how big a blowout you're going to have the 2nd time around. He already mentioned they'll be having a gathering for friends and family later.

First one is the trial marriage with all the fire and the passion and the money and the family and food and $10000 reception. Second marriage you do not give a fuck about all that and just do it. Unless you marry another high maintinence unit like the first one you shitcanned!!! :D

I can understand what Matt did. The first time I married my wife in Vegas out in the desert of Red Rock canyon was just for/about us. We did have my best man and his wife, along with my Mother in law and a couple others there, but it wasn't about all the pomp and circumstance. The ceremony (reception) we had a few months later was more about sharing the union with friends/family and celebration. But I can see where Matt was going with this. As he said, they plan on having a dinner somewhere down the road, when they will celebrate with friends/family. Best of luck Matt..

Oh yeah, but he was a great sidekick. Can't drive a show for shit. Part of it is that he's mildly dyslexic and struggles mightily to read copy.

This could be a well timed ploy by Spiegel. Kind of get some sympathy from his bosses to where they wouldn't fire someone who just got married.

I'm sure he was gonna marry her anyway, but maybe he bumped it up cuz contract talks weren't going well for him. Goff needs to strike back. He should announce he has the scurvy

Did Spiegel ask Bernstein to be his best man or do you not have one of them when you get married by an esquire?

How about the more sensible, he knows the deal is agreed upon just needs some signatures, creating a little security in his life, feeling good, locks up the long term deal with the biscuit as well?
