Aram is apparently going to refuse to waive his no trade clause which is his right but ends all hope of seeing his tired ass off this team sooner than later. He did alot of good things for many years, but those years are over. You are on the hook for the rest of the year regardless. There is no reason to put him in the lineup. Marquez Smith is a decent young player and he is rotting in AAA. Get him and DJ in the fucking lineup and bench the has been.

It's only because he loves it here in Chicago.

Last time he cancelled his own deal, per his contract and got this new deal and I always remember when Hendrys was asked if he felt he paid too much Ole Jimmy Boy responded with "What else were we gonna do?"

Sam Zell must have hated dealing with Hendry. A guy who will nickel and dime you to death, unless you are a a high priced hooker (allegedly!) having this drunk looking slob (Hendry) keep walking into his office with "We gotta give this guys millions!"

They should consider letting Bob make the lineup from the booth. He seems clearly dislike aram and his effort and attitude. He would DH for him in inerleague play and then never be seen from again. Somehow though.....Quade, probably with some pressure from Hendry as well, feels it is his duty to play him everyday in order to allow him to audition for his next contract.

I guess it does apply to more than a few of the players   Hendry and his complimentary no trade clause

Why would he not want to waive his no trade? It's his last year of his contract, and he might be able to go to a contender if they are in need of bat. Seems like dumb decision making on his part.

He said a trade is hard on a player and his family and he has lived through that once. I can understand that.....but he should be prepared to sit the bench the rest of the way because he is not part of the solution for the Cubs. Him playing out the string is just treading water. DJ and Marquez Smith should split the reps there for the rest of the season so we can see what they can do at this level.

But it's not like he's going to stay where he is traded to. At most he would be moving for 2-3 months. He wouldn't even need to move his family. He could just rent a house for a couple months and move back home when the season is over.

This is very strange from Ramirez. My understanding is that if a team trades for Ramirez, then that team is on the hook for the option next year, which is around $16 million.

The Cubs are certainly not going to exercise the option next year, I think the buy out is $2 million.

So if he is not traded, then he is not going to see anything close to $16 million next year, no team is going to pay that money.

So if I was Ramirez, I would certainly waive my no trade clause. Of course, you would have to find a team that is willing to pay Ramirez big bucks next year, and I really don't see a team out there that a)has the funds and b) needs Ramirez.

Nobody will trade for him because of the option thing.

And the Cubs won't trade him because to trade him they'd have to eat that option instead of being free in 2011.

Saying he won't waive his no trade clause would be like me saying I wouldn't accept an invitation to be a super model.

Thread title could also apply to Zambrano.

Quade is just going to keep penciling him in at 3rd and cleanup everyday because he is too much of a pussy to actually offend his tired ass and bench him.
