Dr. Janus.

The irony of him saying that multiple personality disorder is fake is that he in factors suffer from multiple personality disorder.

, looked like they were spooking Fireside Bowl.

The music reminded me of acts like Cex/Kid 606/Donna Summer/Duran Duran Duran and the Tigerbeat6 roster in general.

Steamy Ray Vaughn vs Steamy Knicks

What the hell was that? My fear that this was the last season seems to be coming true.

I'd guess they take a year or so hiatus from the Comedy Central series and then drop another feature length film on us.

And don't they have a successful Broadway musical currently running?

Book of Mormon.
I also believe the whole Muhammad flap last season probably soured them about doing the show for too much longer.

Yeah...it was actually quite funny until the last 5 minutes or so.

After a night's sleep, the ending makes a lot of sense.
The program was about cynicism.

Well, yeah...they made that very clear the first 25 minutes.

I'm just saying I didn't like the divorce angle.

It was weird with Kyle and Cartman being "friends" at the end too.

It's not like they broke new ground: Cleveland (Family Guy) and Millhouse's parents (Simpsons). Divorce has been a part of other cartoons.
Of these three instances, the Famiy Guy version -- where Loretta cheated with Cleveland's BEST friend -- is the most depressing.
It's just that the South Park example seemingly came out of nowhere -- so I can understand why some are somewhat uncomfortable about it.

As a cynical prick myself, I really, really enjoyed the episode. As far as the ending, doesn't SP do a two or three episode story arc each season? That's what I figure it is.

Unless it's a cliffhanger, this was the summer finale.

The most depressing and unnecessary story in a cartoon was Maude being killed at the Indy Race.

The South Park thing was just an unexpected ending...to one of funniest 20 minutes they've done since the first 20 minutes of the movie, imo.

Yeah, I still have no idea why that went down. It did open up some more stories for Ned based episodes but none of those were that great.

They're officially contracted to 7 more episodes. Sure, it's plausible that they're just going to dick around and go out however they decide to go out. But to me, it's more like they are acting like they used to - attention whoring, but in a good way.

Not here, but other places are rife with people pissing and moaning about the show hasn't been funny, original, interesting, etc. for years, and no shortage of people are taking umbrage with last night's episode, and they're just so certain that it's a sign that T&M are tired of doing the show and this is how they're demonstrating it. I think that's essentially a crock of shit; in fact, I get the impression of entirely the opposite - they've never ended a show quite like that, for instance, and the episodes I've seen this year have been pretty entertaining. If anything, they were lampooning themselves (not new ground, btw) by making fun of the fact that their show is insane each week but "resets" for the most part the next week to be insane again. Then again, most shows on TV are precisely the same, whether it's The Simpsons or Law & Order.

But I'm a cynic, so what do I know. :D

You cant blame anyone. Sure, I was the one that provoked the deadly barrage of t-shirts. And yes, I was the one that parked in the fire lane preventing the emergency personnel access to provide life saving measures. But no one is to blame...

Trey & Matt said on the Daily Show that they still love doing the show and that this last episode wasn't leading to any kind of end. But I'm sure it lead to many suicides, because damn was it depressing!

Season 15 continues on tonight!!! Not alot of advertising for this premier that I have seen. Last night during Workaholics was the first time I even saw that new episodes were about to start.
