I have this feeling Ryne Sandberg gets named manager of the Phillies within the same month next year the Cubs fire Quade.

Phillies seem to have some top prospects still, 2 Pitchers, 2 OF, 1 or 2 of their aces will still be pitching and the Phillies will still thrive while Tom Ricketts will need to get that banner on the attendance dwindling Wrigley Field to read "DEAR FANS, I'M SORRY, PLEASE COME BACK"

After next season, I think the Ricketts family will have a serious meeting about selling the team or partial interest in the team as Todd, Laura and Sleepy (whoever the 4th Rickett is) will not want to be part of the bathroom remodeling project.

Of course they are cash poor, so maybe they do a DIY project over the winter. Take the Range Rover over to Home Depot, pick up some thinset (Premixed of course for the Ricketts) and start tiling themselves.

That is the first time I hear Rose being categorized as such. Very bold statement. It is very apparent that ARAM has checked out already this year. His defense is been as bad as his first years as a Cub. Just looks like he puts no effert into improving his game. But we have seen this before. His effort level is directly proportionate to the teams current success rate.

Ive been saying things about Hendry for the last 3 years that people are now seeing are true.

as far as Rose, already people have downtuned their perceptions of him as a result of the playoff failure this year...it will be further downtuned next year as he again tries to "take over" but falls on his face
