I don't know how they can sink that kind of money into 1 position when there are so many holes to fill on this team. They will need a first baseman, an infielder (the position depends on what they do with Castro), a right fielder, at least one starting pitcher and at least a couple bullpen arms. This is why Hendry should have gone young at first base and right field instead of plugging old expensive veterans in there.

I guess the real question is would Prince or Pujols even sign with the Cubs?

If they're stupid enough to give one of them $26-30 million a year I think they would.

I don't see how Prince is going to sign for $18 million a year, when he turned down a 5 year $100 million deal for the Brewers. At 18 per, it is going to take a lot more years than 6.
