I wish that Mitch had the balls to shake up the entire WSCR lineup, because it is sorely needed. The Score is stale.

Overall ratings are not the main focus. Ratings in the demographic are. The demographic is something like Men 25-49 or whatever...SCR is #2 in the demo for the 9-1 time slot. WDRV is #1. Try again.

WSCR has never been #2 in this demo in the 10-2 daypart. (There is no 9-1 daypart.) The Score typically finishes around #6 or #7 in this slot. I havn't yet seen the daypart ratings for the recent period, but it would be a huge surprise if the Score was in fact #2 in this slot.

My sources are telling me that "Larry and Goff" are in planning mode right now for..."THE TAKEOVER". I have it on good authority that if in fact they get the show it will be called "Harlem Heat" or "Kill Whitey".

Wow. That means the rest of the WSCR shows did poorly. Very poorly.

A declining slice of a shrinking pie = reduced salary year after year.
Mac at this point probably wishes he had locked in a 10 year deal for his 2009-2010 salary.
Maybe they can do another fundraiser out in Palatine.

Mac has to be going crazy reading all this today on his smartphone.

Part of the business. He's probably grilling something while enjoying a stiff beverage. The only thing he is doing on his smartphone is getting updates from his agent (and maybe watching porn).

I think Mac might get a smaller amount cuz Spiegs, if he stays, would get more this time around. That would be my guess. I'd also think at this point they'd call it the "The Mac and Spiegs Show" since Spiegs has 2 years of status gain with the listeners.

Now, if Goff were named Mac's partner, Mac would demand that it be 80-20 in his favor. If it's Larry, he'd demand a 90-10 split.

Its not like Mackey has any bargaining power. Dont think the offers are pouring in. Not like he's doing squat for MIDDAY ratings. Could get Murph for a third of the price and get more or less the same.

"Rod Zimmerman, senior vice president and market manager of CBS Radio Chicago, has been playing hardball in contract talks with other key on-air employees, according to industry sources."

Had my sources, NOT MAC, that this was taking places on a NUMBER of levels.

Good point. The station must be hurting revenue wise as the advertising market is still weak. They'll probably be a move to cheaper talent over the next year or two, and it looks to be starting this summer.

LOL, they wish they could be sinister.

Zimmerman is looking at his bottom line. It's easy to be corp manager and present a plan to your superiors of how you are cutting costs to create more profit. Takes a businessman to have the mindset of how you will raise revenue without cutting your workforces benefits or salaries.

Didn't Jason recently bitch on the air about getting less money for "fill in "gigs?

Every time I think about Zimmerman, I think about the joke that Jason told at the Roast that Ugie probably wishes he could say in public.

I typed the joke at the end saying Jason will never leave because he is Rod's _ _ _ _ _ R, could have been Jasons best move ever. It's like Rod called that by not saying no to it! lol

I know. Zim is also looking at his money when he low balls his hosts. He's on a profit margin bonus scale like most execs. More money he saves the company, the more money he gets in quarter bonuses.

NO, the more money he Makes the company, the more he makes. Your thought process is that of most. Create more profit by saving more. Should be sell more.
