I wonder if we'll see a similar lineup tonight...After all, the starting pitchers of the White Sox' Gavin Floyd & the Twins' Carl Pavano will remain the same.

This sets up the enticing matchup of Jackson v. Hudson in Arizona. It gives me the opportunity to contend that will go down as one of the worst trades in KW tenure.

According to Ranger, that's the matchup starting the Interleague series this weekend in the All-Star city of Phoenix, GD. Needless to say, SCORE producer Herb Lawrence wouldn't miss this matchup for the world.

If you are wondering, this is the exact same lineup Ozzie will use tonight, weather permitting, in the first of what's now a 2 game series at Target Field.

Ozzie really has to do something with this lineup. I know there aren't a ton of options but AJ can not continue to hit 5th. Either switch him and Dunn or hit Alexei 3rd and Quentin 5th. This shit just isn't working.

Dunn would be a good option to move back to 5...IMO, he's not seeing pitches to hit. He's seeing crap. The top 4 in the lineup can get on base. AJ is a black hole in the 5 spot.

Article which talked about how ready Viciedo is for the mlb but KW said something to the effect that Ozzie doesn't want to sit Pierre and they are not going to bring up Viciedo to sit on the bench.


Pierre is a great guy, works hard but he just doesn't have it anymore. The game of baseball has changed, you don't really need people like Pierre anymore.

Yeah. The ironic thing though is that it appears the game is headed toward an era where players like Pierre may once again be highly effective as overall offensive numbers drop and more games are decided by a single run. It isn't quite there yet and he certainly doesn't fit on a team like the White Sox, who- on paper anyway- have an elite offense and should be able to club teams to death.

This Twins team is thoroughly in the head of this White Sox team. The Twins put out a shit-sack llineup, but were still able to beat shit-ass Gavin Floyd. I don't know what it's going to take, but the Sox need to beat this team when they are down. Giving the Twins any opening is dangerous, at least for the Sox.

Any day KW wants to get a catcher with a major league arm would be nice. Also, I can't count the days fast enough until Gavin's contract is up. Package him with Carlos and get him the hell out of here.

AJ is not good at throwing runners out, but nobody outside of Buerhle and Danks can hold a runner on. Out of the pen, Crain is the only guy with a decent move to first, and that's including the 2 lefties. AJ has LOTS of help in allowing guys to steal.
