Indeed sir.

That and the Chris Elliot show that was on Fox once upon a time was great too.

Totally

That show and the career of Chris Elliot in general deserve their own thread

CB4. Elliot was getting it done. Pullingup the IMDB file now.

Thread to soon follow.

I want a W_Z Inside the Actors Studio review of a Chris Elliot.

Loved MWC. Loved it. And it looked like they spent about $500 per episode on the production.

I not only still love Married with Children, but I'm pretty sure I will in twenty years.

Absolutely.

If there is a channel that shows it 20 years.

I'm glad it's in reruns .... I went to NetFlix a few weeks ago and saw they had (I assume) the whole schmear on there, so I fire it up - and all the sudden I feel like I'm watching frigging WCW because, as it turns out, they didn't license (why?) Sinatra and instead they have some faggoty replacement music instead (we're talking "Self High Five" levels of irritation here). I watched one episode, but the whole time it just felt wrong. I have issues. Meow.

I would be bothered by Frank not opening the shows as well. Don't feel weird about THAT.

Always look forward to MWC Marathons, I think on FX.

Plus this gives me an excuse to revisit....

I don't think it needs a NSFW warning but just in case....

Yeah the show is still on.

For a young teenage boy Kelly was....something

and when her slutty friends started showing up in every episode later that was also...something.

And the show is hilarious.

My dad never laughs at modern sitcoms. Andy Griffith is funny but Seinfeld isnt.

I remember watching a rerun of Married with Children with him a few years back and he couldnt stop laughing. Good times

Al: Gimme the remote you dont know what youre doing

Peg: I know what im doing. Look, I love Lucy

Al: I hate Lucy

Just simple lines like that were GOLD

"No brakes, no brakes"

"Choco cake, choco cake, eat so much get a tummy ache"

No Ma'am

The Al Bundy dance

All of these quotes, phrases, organizations, or movements are used regularly in my life.

i won't derail this into a chris elliot thread because i don't want to take away from the greatness of this classic sitcom. however, i always thought he was before his time as a comedian. "get a life" was a very unique show and really would've been a hit had it come out in this decade rather than when it did. it was way ahead of its time. but just like elliot, mike white who was involved with the show, was also ahead of his time. i'm glad people are starting to get elliot now, because he really was a hidden gem for a long time.

and now back to our regularly scheduled program.

i've always wanted a no ma'am t-shirt... i think some website(s) make them. that was so much more than a mere sitcom right there.

"Married...with Children" was one of FOX's first hit series back in the day when they were just starting out. They had 3 back-to-back-to-back episodes on WCIU 26 The U the other night, including one of my favorite episodes. It's the one where Al took Bud to the nudity bar(!) for his 18th birthday...CLASSIC!

There's no doubt that Christina Applegate got it done on "Married...with Children" as slutty, dumb blonde Kelly Bundy.

I'm glad she is still alive. No young (or old) lady deserves that. She seems like a nice person and still is very attractive today.

Factually speaking, "Married...with Children" reruns can be found at 4p Saturdays on WCIU 26 The U for a full hour. It can also be found on WGN's Antenna TV, a new classic TV outlet on digital channel 9.2 at 9p weeknights.

Antenna is NOT MeTV or MeToo, just so you know. It's a relatively new channel from WGN's parent company Tribune Broadcasting and features a number of classic shows from SONY/Columbia Pictures Television. Needless to say, not everyone gets this new channel, not even SHARK.
