With your DH choices being Huey Duey and Louie do you even consider having Z bat tonight? He's a better hitter than all of them heck he's better than half the hitters on the team period.

He's better than Rex Grossman.

Why would anyone have Scrooge McDuck's nephews on a Major League roster?

That just seems baseball stupid.

I don't think you even can have Zambrano bat tonight..... could you?

I always thought DH and P are two separate positions, and therefore two requiring two different players.

Yeah, but they're cartoons. At a bare minimum, I would thing even Hendry would be smart enough to go get the kids from the T-Ball league that BigFan coaches.

Sini, to answer your question, the pitcher would be allowed to hit, but if I remember correctly, they would not be able to switch to a DH after he left the game (meaning the pitcher's slot is the pitcher's slot, and they would have to waste pinch hitters if they wanted to not make the likes of Sean Marshall or John Lowbrow hit)

That would almost as bad as Kirk Gibson letting a relief pitcher bat in the bottom of the 7th inning in a tie game with 2 out and runners on 2nd and 3rd.

You're right though comparing the Cubs DH options to 3 cartoon ducks is unfair.

The MLB DH Rule wrote:
The Designated Hitter rule:
A hitter may be designated to bat for the starting pitcher and all subsequent pitchers in any game without otherwise affecting the status of the pitcher(s) in the game. A Designated Hitter for the pitcher must be selected prior to the game and must be included in the lineup cards presented to the Umpire-in-Chief.

The Designated Hitter named in the starting lineup must come to bat at least one time, unless the opposing club changes pitchers. It is not mandatory that a club designate a hitter for the pitcher, but failure to do so prior to the game precludes the use of a Designated Hitter for that game.

Pinch hitters for a Designated Hitter may be used. Any substitute hitter for a Designated Hitter himself becomes a Designated Hitter. A replaced Designated Hitter shall not re-enter the game in any capacity. The Designated Hitter may be used defensively, continuing to bat in the same position in the batting order, but the pitcher must then bat in the place of the substituted defensive player, unless more than one substitution is made, and the manager then must designate their spots in the batting order.

A runner may be substituted for the Designated Hitter and the runner assumes the role of the Designated Hitter.

A Designated Hitter is "locked" into the batting order. No multiple substitutions may be made that will alter the batting rotation of the Designated Hitter.

Once the game pitcher is switched from the mound to a defensive position this move shall terminate the DH role for the remainder of the game. Once a pinch-hitter bats for any player in the batting order and then enters the game to pitch, this move shall terminate the Designated Hitter role for the remainder of the game.

Once a Designated Hitter assumes a defensive position this move shall terminate the Designated Hitter role for the remainder of the game.

Do you even consider having a threesome?

pre·clude/priˈklo͞od/Verb
1. Prevent from happening; make impossible.
2. (of a situation or condition) Prevent someone from doing something.

Basically, for our purposes here, they wouldn't be allowed to have a DH in the lineup after the pitcher got pulled from the game if he was inserted into the lineup as a hitter.

PRECLUDE: When talking Cubs baseball,Quade needs to check with Hendry before meeting with the press because he doesn't have a clue. So he gets preclude.

Z is a good hitter when pitchers don't attack him like a regular batter. When they actually give a shit and pitch with purpose they get him out.
