My wife wants to start watching this program. Does anyone here watch it, I am too lazy to look for a show thread. I was just wondering if I should bother with it or if it is a Twilightesque show with a bunch of moody gay vampires.

Yeah me and the gf watched this show. It's pretty hit or miss. Some of it is definately burrito vampire crap. But some of it is over the top and pretty funny. And it might have the most boobs per minute of any show on HBO. So thats nice.

It's good and your wife will love it. We got the first dvd on netflix and within a year she had read all the books.

It's much better than Twilight.

Thanks Phil, given the boob proportion I might just give it whirl. The first couple of discs should be arriving from Netflix soon.

True Blood is awesome! The relationship between Sookie and Vampire Bill is eerily reminiscent of the dialogue between Spaulding and Keeping Score on our own message board.

First couple seasons are really good, then it gets pretty boring and stupid.

My wife and I have watched it the past two seasons. On Father's Day, she was already talking about where she would watch next week's premiere. Her mom and dad are also fans.
I've grown to like it. Eric, Lafayette and Sookie's brother Jason are my three favorite characters. Andy is also a hoot.

Sounds like a hell of a business plan.

Everybody's got their baggage. At least this guy is brilliant about 25 hours a week.

I'm only 4 episodes in... I kind of like the background story they have set up about how vampires decided to be open about being vampires. It seems like it has some promise and there is always quite a bit of sex to keep me interested. It has kept me watching so far.

You only think that because you're drunk 25 hours a week.

I loved the 1st 3 seasons. The show doesn't take itself too seriously and can be pretty damn funny sometimes. Vampire Jessica might be the sexiest character on TV right now

Could be. I'll have to think about that one.

I'm a big fan. Hopefully, at some point this season, we get a look at what's doin' under her shirt.

Big fan of the show and local girl Janina who plays Luna. She's a cousin of my neighbor and I had the pleasure of saying hello at a couple parties......wow.
