Until you experience People's Instinctive Travels and the Paths of Rhythm, Low End Theory, and Midnight Marauders...Yes

From their 1990 debut album People's Instinctive Travels and the Paths of Rhythm. Great song, wasn't a big fan of the video (so I left that out). Great beat with way too many samples to name here. Another one from A Tribe Called Quest, one of the most influential groups in Hip Hop.

Can I Kick It?

The main sample is "Wildside" by Lou Reed and its perfect

This one comes from their sophomore (and my favorite) album The Low End Theory. It features Leaders Of the New School and contributed greatly to the sucsess of a young Busta Rhymes.

A Tribe Called Quest - Scenario

Cairo,

I can do this forever. I haven't even done any songs from Beats, Rhymes and Life and The Love Movement.
Haven't even played some of my favorites from their first three yet, either. If need be, I'll continue tomorrow...

Just admit you were wrong about Tribe...

I haven't had much time to listen at work today other than Electric Relaxation and Scenario. Both of those songs I had forgotten about. I really liked those as a shorty. Check the rhyme is one of the better known ones that I was familiar with. I like Phife's verse on that one.

Keep it coming. I'll continue to listen throughout the day and give you a report either this evening or tomorrow.

I'm going to say this in a very angry manner.

A Tribe Called Quest is the 2nd or 3rd greatest hip hop group of all time.

For real man. I liked ATLiens and Aquemini as much as anybody, but they made a lot of dookie-ass songs too.

Hey Ya isn't crap. It was overplayed and became annoying. The subject matter is pretty good. People staying in relationships longer than they should.

Even if you consider that song bad, you discount someones entire career because of that? Silly...

I dont ignore it.

I dont know what youre problem is with them having one purposely poppy song.

That album was good. Overall they are awesome.

Jedi Mind Tricks and Hieroglyphics would also be there.

Geez. Im starting to wonder about the history of your taste in hip hop. You only liked Outkasts 96-98 stuff (when they were popular) then youre ripping Tribe for being WillSmithish (which they werent)

Cypress Hill gets a lot of love

Odd Future has work to do before getting on that list.

Are you excluding the ones already mentioned? I really hope so.
