Not really. A lot of them won't go on when they get hit. Whipping is a tradition among drivers and jockeys more than anything. It doesn't really get more out of the horse. There are whipless races that go just as fast as races with whips. Of course, with gambling being a key component of racing, the bettor doesn't want to see a guy with a whip tucked under his shoulder as the horse he bet on gets beat.

Back on topic, THIS IS HOW A SHOW SHOULD DO IT. Have both hosts take vacation at the SAME TIME. While these two schmoes certainly call in sick and take onesy-twosy days here and there (where the other is in with a guest host) as much as anyone, they're probably the only show that actually does a full reset of on-air "talent" for an entire week (obviously Les has to do a full reset as he is a one man show). It'd be great if it wasn't a running joke about the "Iron Man Streak" at this workplace......quite a taskmaster in charge over there. Schedule and/or call-in days off whenever you want, then laugh about how many days in a row you've actually worked your incredibly tough 4 hour shift of talking sports...LOL!!!!!!!!!1!!!!

I like that they're both out. I don't listen to that horrid show from 9-1, so I don't care about them. But I'd love for Dan & Terry to just take a full week's vacation, at the same time. Larry can go blow, and the only other real 'scheduled' show is that giggling mess of a baseball show--and Lord knows those two dopes never show up on a regular basis as it is.

Technically, Harry, the Kennedys didn't lose a kid while in office. The miscarriage occurred in the 50's.
