Got me some Hop Juice last weekend. Pretty good, but fucking expensive. I was only able to find it in the bomber bottles, do they even sell it in 6-packs?

Bells makes Two Hearted Ale. Good stuff. One of my favorites.

Had two brothers Ebel's Weiss last evening - been a while since I had a hefeweizen but it was very refreshing and nice for the summer.

Adding that to my list for the weekend.

I think I'm going to make a stop at Dobby's in downtown Palatine on my way home from work, either today or tomorrow. They usually have a decent enough selection to rival Binny's, and don't run out of stock nearly as often.

Say hi to my cousin. Oh yeah, and sock him in the face. From me. He'll think it's funny.

Oddly enough, he probably would think it's funny.

Some day I'll tell you about what he did when we had private strippers at a party back at Jimmy's Bachelor Party. It turns out that if you pay these girls enough, you can lick food off their ass crack.

Try the Brooklyn Brewery craft pack if they have it. All of the beers are solid and the Pennant 55 Ale is outstanding.

I remember having a couple of microbrews from Goose Island Brewery at Mrs. Murphy's Irish Bistro, a nice restaurant and bar a few months ago at Dakin & Lincoln just off Irving Park & Damen. As much as I prefer Miller Lite, those Goose Islands are as good as advertised.

Stopped at Dobby's. I couldn't find the Two Hearted or Brooklyn Brewery stuff. To make it through the night, I got a Hop Juice and a sixer of Emmet's Victory Pale Ale. Probably going to save the Hop Juice for tomorrow so it can get properly chilled.

I find that it is better to drink an IPA, or in this case a DIPA, somewhere between cold and room temperature. When I crack a Hop Juice, I usually let it sit on the bar for ten or fifteen minutes before I open it.

See, when I grabbed the Hop Juice, it wasn't in the cooler. Piss warm is not the right temperature to drink beer.

No, but higher alcohol content beers usually taste better as they warm up. There is science behind it but you don't want to hear it :D

There is - different flavors are brought to the front of the palatte at different temperatures. But I don't want this thread to degenerate into another pissing contest so if you don't think so I respect that. 8)

I had some Chimay Ale and first had it cold and tasted awful but when it got to room
temp the flavor was so robust.

This Hop Juice is getting better as it gets closer to cool as opposed to ice cold.

Thanks Chus

Have any of you been drinking the Daisy Cutter Pale Ale from Half Acre Brewing Co. in Chicago. It's good stuff--crisp, smooth, and just a little hoppy. A nice summer beer. I'm having some now and am a little drinky--not in the Abbatacolonic sense, either.

Really enjoyed Pullman Brown Ale with some Q from Honey 1. Picked it up at the liquor store just north of the Tap Room on Western.

Mad Hatter you mean? Great beer. had it at the brewery once and it was awesome and have purchased it before.

Was drinking one of my personal faves last evening watching the fireworks - Lagunitas Lil Sumpin Ale.
