I love Goodfellas and all of the scenes mentioned. However, the scene that puts me in the characters shoes the best is the helicopters scene. I felt like I was the guy snorting coke or taking the valium while watching that (even though I have experienced neither).

i love his work, but he's nuts.

crispin glover's the strangest (three words: "what is it?"). solondz's stuff IS very disturbing but man is it good. i loved "dollhouse", "happiness", and "storytelling". haven't seen "palindromes" yet; keep meaning to rent it.

what's so disturbing about:

Billy Maplewood: [sobbing] ... would you ever fuck me?
Bill: No... I'd jerk off instead.
[sobs]

i'm not familiar with anything crispin glover has done except for "biff, get you damn hands off her!"

god...that scene. i watched the movie with my dad. that was...an uncomfortable five minutes.

Glover's got some classics: his villain in "Charlie's Angels", and his dancing in "Friday the 13th Part IV". There are some Letterman interviews he's done where he MUST be on drugs...he's totally out of it. And, his "film" trilogy beginning with "What is It?" which he refuses to release to DVD or VHS or the internet--you can only go to see it in theatres that he shows them at, followed by Q&A with him. The trailer is available to see on YouTube.

Goodwill Hunting is my favorite movie of all time.

I also like the seen where Ben Afleck tells Damon at the construction site that if Damon is still working there when they have families he will kill him.

Another favorite movie of mine is Boondock Saints.

The scene where they are outside and everyone is shooting at each other, but no one gets shot.

Boondock Saints is one of the most underrated and underappreciated movie I've ever seen. Excellent movie.

The "larry this is what happens when you f.uck a strange in the ass" scene from Big Lebowski (there are actually about 10 you could put in here from that movie)

The scene in Old School when Will Farrell shoots himself in the jugular with a tranquilizer gun "you gotta fuckin dart in your neck man", "your crazy man, i like you, but your crazy"

A Damon favorite from Ocean's 11:

Elliot Gould: You're Bobby Caldwell's kid. From Chicago. It's nice there, do you like it?
Damon: Yeah.
Gould: That's wonderful. Get in the goddamn house.

The opening scene from "About Last Night" with James Belushi (yes, James Belushi) and Rob Lowe.

"Was she a pro?"

"At this point, we don't know."

I'll always stop to watch the town meeting scene when Jimmy Chitwood figures it's time for him to start playing ball.

And, of course....

"We're gonna' run the picket fence at 'em."

Predator: The commandos clear a forest with gunfire, in an attempt to kill the Predator after Blaine is slain (hey, that rhymes).

This movie falls under the "Guilty Pleasures" heading for me. I know it's silly machismo crap, but I can't turn it off. In fact, I really, really enjoy it.

I first saw this when I was in 3rd grade, so I have a soft spot for it that I might well not have had that not been the case. Still. Gotta love the movie that introduced me to the minigun!

Also, thinking back, they really kind of kept it simple and straight-forward; mindless action flicks today always seem to try to hard and resort to all sorts of garbage that leave me rolling my eyes and unable to get into them.

Hehe.. I watched this on HBO a couple of years back, and couldn't believe the ludicrous death-count racked up therein. I laughed my ass off when he chopped that guy's arm off with the machete. Priceless.

my favorite scene from Tombstone is the Ringo/Doc Holliday duel...
"Why Johnny Ringo, you look like someone just walked over your grave"
That's one of my favorite "I'm so screwed" faces.

Psycory I forgive you for the Erin Andrews bashing via that last post. The BEST scene in that movie.

"Wellllllll, I didn't think you'd show" :?

"I'm your hucklebear" 8)

"Fights not with you Holiday!"

"I beg to differ"

"Alright, let's go"

"Say when"

I thought it was "huckleberry" FB. I'm not sure, but I call my kids that all the time because of that scene. Drives them crazy.

I believe it is huckleberry
and of course the last taunt
You're no daisy! You're no daisy at all. Poor soul, you were just too high strung.
It would appear that the strain was more than he could bear.

I believe he clips "hucklberry" down to "hucklebear" as a semi-slang-cool type phrase. I could be wrong. I could watch, and have watched, that scene 10 times in a row.

How Kilmer did not get a piece of hardware for that movie is why I hate Hollywood.

Sticking to the western theme...
Unforgiven, the scene where Clint goes into the Saloon after they killed and propped Freeman outside the place. The last great scene from a western for Clint.

Not that I'm the least bit obsessed mind you, but:

You can here a slight hint of a "y" sound and the end of "I'm your Huckleber.." I conceed.

"Play for blood, remember?"

"I was just fool'in about"

"I wasn't"

Good one Cory, one of my favorites also.

I have never seen Tombstone and I have it on DVD. I guess I should pull it out and finally watch it huh.
