Last band I saw at Empty Bottle was Drunk Horse. Great band and cool place to see live music. That must have been 8 or 9 years ago. Shit I am getting old.

I am 50/50 on the Barrington Brewfest tomorrow - trying to convince my brother to go with and he isn't sold on it. I have been the past 2 years and last years was pretty mediocre at best. Not as many beer/brewery representatives as the year before and the selections they brought weren't their best offerings. After the first hour ended up just hanging out by the Harpoon tap drinking their IPA for the rest of the afternoon. They did have a good Grateful Dead cover band playing though and that saved it from being awful.

I haven't been to the Empty Bottle in forever either. I'm guessing it's still a shit-hole, but those are always the best places.

I'm probably not going to make it to the brewfest, but I'm going to try. Chances are looking pretty slim. I am definitely going to the Wheaton Ale Fest next month.

Last band I saw at Empty Bottle was Helmet. I think that was in 2008...might have been 2006.

  Seriously. That was goddam annoying. I played poorly enough and it didn't help to have to hit out of mud a few times.

Our trip to Keeping Score land was cancelled unfortunately so I can't buy him a beer at a TimberRattler game. Maybe in a few weeks.

Tonight - ??? Probably stop off after work and grab a beer at CaryPub
Sat - no plans now but I have been informed of Midget Wrestling at Broken Oar which is intriguing...
Sun - Money in Bank PPV

I knew I should have made plans earlier in the week for a poker game. The wife informs me she may be having a mini Harry Potter marathon tonight. Ugh.

Holy crap this band is amazing. Hope Corin Tucker doesn't regret the decisions she's made regarding her career, because Carrie B. and Janet W. just made a HUGE upgrade with their new bandmate. Great show last night at Wicker Fest......WILD FLAG is the real deal.

....walked across the street afterward and caught Wavves and Lasers & Fast & Shit at subt too. Great night.

Gonna be playing an after party for COC at Reggie's Rock Room Saturday.

Highly unlikely the band will stick around, but it might be fun...
