kind of a plain jane guy

not much of a personality yet there he is on ESPN all these years

what is his value to them, and what is his appeal to viewers?

also, why did they get this dumb Shefter guy to help him out with the football updates on Sunday Countdown?

any way u have to make fun of him is also welcome...his face resembles an animal but I cant quite place it

My guess is they brought in Schefter to help compete with the NFL Network for stories and actually be right.

The one I will always remember is the day the Chiefs fired Herm Edwards, it was Mort or Clayton saying Mike Shanahan was going to be the next coach and Schefter was denying it, well we know who was right.

What is to discuss? He does a good job reporting on the NFL.
