Not really.

This is not a sensitive place. There are very few taboo things here.

Dont make fun of kids, wives, or tell racist jokes.

Im sorry its so difficult for certain people to hold in their racist jokes.

But because someone doesnt like racist jokes doesnt mean they're overly sensitive.

A thread/conversation about everything I have bolded would get people "up in arms" regardless of its here, on the street, in a classroom, or another board.

I would expect that if you started a thread about Ggays or abortion, you might get a few people "up in arms" in that thread.

I mean c'mon man. Did it really surprise you that people got a little huffy in a thread you started titled "The Pope is a moron"? You're certainly entitled to your own opinions about anything, but you can't start a thread like that an not hit a few nerves with people.

The religious stuff is touchy and I should have added that to the taboo but that also borders on racism. You come off as anti semitic in that thread.

Im not saying you are but thats how it appears....to a wide variety of people.

The bad reactions to you, as far as I remember, are

Wanting StoneRoses dead
Making Black jokes
The Israel thread.

No. Thats not what I mean.

Throughout that whole thread you come off as not liking Jewish people. Several different people who dont usally agree on anything, have agreed on that.

Also, lets not forget your penchant for telling people how much smarter you are than them.

Id say that ridiculousness is more responsible for any negativity toward you than anything else.

My response was not to that post.

Also, I didn't mean just other forums. These are things that are brought up in regular, every day, real-life, person to person discussions. I don't pick and choose which topics to talk about based on if I'm online or not.

Forum does not neccessarily mean "online"

I meant real life too.

Im not Hova.
Whatever youre playing at there is another failed joke to add to your list.

The Ian Kinsler thing is getting old. Its not funny and it proves nothing.

Im sure Elmhurst Steve, who you think is more racist than you, loved Andre Dawson.

I notice you didnt reply to the one thing that obviously causes you problems here, your arrogance.

Ya know the whole immature thing wasnt ever really about your age. You're very immature. Thats it.

You have a lot of growing up and learning to do (hopefully)

Someday youll get to a point where you realize,

Telling people you are smarter than them serves no purpose and makes you appear insecure

Saying a roommate/girlfriend/rent situation is the "hardest thing youve ever had to deal with in your life"...is hilarious.

You guys are trying very hard to get me to help pass the day for you today.

You're not especially intelligent though.

Kirk, we all have to take a step back from the grips of racism and other insensitivities every so often, just so we can really focus on what is important in life: loving one another, mutual respect, and leaving the old stereotypes at the door. Off-color jokes and insulting nicknames have no place in today's society. What better way to clear one's mind than to take in a classic football match-up?

Now here come the bloodthirsty Fighting Illini!

This mult isnt perfect yet.

But its good and getting better.

I have no idea who it is though.

No one ever responded to my posts or even referenced that I existed back then. I would post in the Mac Jurko Harry threads, Cubs threads, and Rosenbloom / Uncle Rico threads...yet people must have not even read them. It made me sad.

I remember thinking you were funny in a twisted way.

Acutally the Bob Ley sig is probably what did it.

It's safe to say whatever your opinion was about union workers didn't bother me. I actually have no idea what thread you're talking about. For a guy that has a lot of opinions (joking or not) that many people have an issue with I'm not really surprised that you're wearing your Image Image gear. It's a lot easier than keeping those surprisingly offensive thoughts to yourself. You may still be wondering months later if I'm going to attack you.
