Boers and Bernstein have never had a rumor on the Cubs that proved to be true.

And they have a personal axe to grind against Hendry so that discounts everything they say about the Cubs.

Good news is they say the Cubs won't sign Pujols or Fielder. Which means you can pencil one of them in as Cubs in 2012. I predict Fielder.

Bad news is they say Hendry and Quade are definitely gone. Meaning expect 20 year contracts with both within a week.

li'l danny read an article online where the writer called Hendry a "lame duck" and mentioned some ambiguous connection between Ricketts and Josh Byrnes. bernstein seized upon that and now, rather than simply being one man's thoughts, danny has turned it into "what a lot of us are hearing". B&b are entertainers, not reporters.

I dont listen to B&B for serious sports talk I listen for the silly stuff and a laugh.

When the Cubs sign Fielder I expect Terry to claim that Jay Cutler left a message on his answering machine saying it would happen.

That doesn't make them good.
